In Vegas now. It’s 110 degrees. Asked someone at the Flamingo where the nearest water fountain was. No water fountains. If you want water you need to pay for it.
This is why Vegas tourism will stay down
American shows that in his Vegas hotel you can’t even use the mini fridge anymore. They have equipt it with sensors and if you put anything inside you’ll be charged $50 per day
This is a powerful study!
Also: low-SES students benefited most from extra social studies & high-SES did NOT benefit--suggesting social studies provides the academic knowledge measured by reading tests. High-SES kids are more likely to pick up that kind of knowledge at home.
@kevinmax As an exvangelical, I find DCTalk’s songs speak to my heart in such a deeper way now. “What Have We Become” has been playing in my head nonstop. 💔
@MissSassbox Nothing changes on your end. In your 30s you could still relate to the 20-somethings. Now you still act the same and suddenly realize you can’t relate to them anymore. And that’s when you realize you’re old 🤣
@theDRAMAgoat1 For science I’ve found it’s all low level DOK questions. Definitely doesn’t align to NGSS and doesn’t give opportunities for students to apply their thinking to novel situations.
Today I’m observing a 6th grade class and the boy next to me lets one rip. The whole class turns around, yelling ew, and the boy is clearly embarrassed. I look at the kids. Look at the boy. Then loudly exclaim, “Sorry about that! Excuse me!”
@teachbk YES!! I actually went to the doctor because I immediately went to worst case scenario and thought I had early dementia. They told me I was just stressed. Became an instructional coach 2 years ago and just realized I haven’t had this problem since I left the classsroom.
@newheightshow found our own way to have @DippinDots all the time! This is definitely going on the Christmas Wish List (strictly for the kids of course! 😂)
