Also online if you email in advance.
Refreshments will be provided
The amount of health-related activity this year was particularly high. This may have been an after-effect of the Covid pandemic when appointments were not available. Regular meetings with a mentor will provide a reminder of appointments that need to be made. (4/4)
Our statistics for 2022-23 show that over 70% of the people we mentored made a definable step to improve their health. What does this mean in practice? (1/4)
4 people took more exercise and improved their eating habits
1 person registered with a G.P.
1 person got a hearing aid
1 person got treatment for cataracts. (3/4)
Thank you everyone who attended our AGM last night, trustees, mentors, and guest speakers. And a big thank you to @kingsleynapley for providing us with a room to hold our AGM, and refreshments. Here’s to another great year! #mentoring
Bridging the Gap AGM is at Kingsley Napley, 20 Bonhill St, London EC2A 4DN
We look forward to meeting our guests there at 5.30pm for what will be an interesting meeting!
A new trustee with a particular interest in Social media will be there -hopefully better at twitter! 🤓
We also thank Georgina from Islington Council for the presentation about @IslingtonBC work with the homeless- inspiring stuff! Our mentoring work often includes housing and homelessness issues. Pictured: trustee Robin and outreach worker Yvonne watching PP presentation last night

AGM -annual report (short thread)
Bridging the Gap Mentoring offers trained, supervised volunteer mentors for people at risk of homelessness/ offending or addiction. Regular informal support from someone who is concerned about them individually helps people rebuild their lives.
