The key is to learn healthy long term habits where you still enjoy your favorite things in moderation. Otherwise, you’ll end up looking at your favorite foods/drinks as a “guilty cheat” and see your fitness journey as a temporary sprint. Focus on long term solutions. Eat healthy meals that you enjoy AND make room for the occasional night out for a drink or a great meal with a slice of cake for dessert! When you stop hyperfixating on good or bad, or “cheating”, you can start focusing on how to learn the best practices for your lifestyle. This is your life and you HAVE to enjoy what you’re doing or you’ll never be successful long term.
