@BillSimmons This is kinda hilarious seeing you not even mentioning the trade. I hope you don’t try to put some optimistic spin on this and react the way to this deal that you would’ve reacted if any other team made it
JALENNNNNNNNN, and everyone, hart rebounding, OG huge shots, Alvarado big first half, KAT couple huge runs both halves, I fucking love this team, 3 more!
The natural comparison here is the 1999 trip to the finals because of the Spurs matchup, but this is much more like 1994.
This team has had tough losses in the playoffs each year like back then. They have a great player in Brunson (but a better supporting cast) playing a Megastar. Wemby is not Hakeem yet but he's awesome.
But this year they have a real chance to win like in 1994. 1999 no one believed they were beating San Antonio. We all know they were capable of beating Houston just like we know they are this year.
After 1994, a very different iteration got back in 1999 but that felt like FOREVER.
You never know what can happen. Take advantage of the opportunity. You never know what fate will bring in the future - ask Patrick Ewing about Andrew Lang.
Bring it home.
4 more games.
The 4:44 raritan line train is about to leave at 5:10 bc it waited for connections, there is another raritan line train at 5:14 this is insane operations management
@NJTRANSIT haphazardly having some connection trains waiting for delays while others simply leave on time force people to miss their connection is beyond frustrating. It should be simple, if nj transit website shows a connection, the connecting train should always wait.
Mitchell Robinson has undergone surgery on his broken right pinky finger -- and fully plans to play in the New York Knicks' Game 1 of the NBA Finals against OKC or San Antonio next Wednesday while wearing a brace on his hand, sources tell ESPN.
@DJAceNBA U think? It’s a pinky, I feel there has to be a way to tape it and let him run/play through, or find some solution this week, he’d be limited but we need him
I’m not one for the “if you weren’t here for this” tweets. But I will say:
As a kid, I (and I know many of you) sat there watching every single game. Grasping for any hope.
Jubilant for the smallest victories.
Marbury and Curry and Lee and Melo and Porzingis and tanks and lotteries and teams without even a single recognizable name.
Hundreds of hours of wondering how in the world we could even approach where this team now finds itself.
So I say, let’s bask in it.
Congrats to all of you. Let’s keep going.
