Caused by charged solar particles arriving at Earth from yesterday's solar flare. They slam into atmospheric molecules of Oxygen and Nitrogen, rendering them a-glow. Here, Red and Green are visible, with the Big Dipper looking on.

Eastern Ontario KPI index is high as of 2pm today. Expecting RTK and VRS float issues. WAAS position jumps will be occurring

The KP index measures geomagnetic activity on a scale of 0 to 9. Higher numbers equal stronger disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field.

High KP may indicate poor gps performance.

It's going to be a little bit rough out there for the next couple of days!!
