Vote For Ken Paxton on November 3, 2026
Talarico Would Wreak Havoc on Our Gun Rights
Dear Gary,
For years, Americans have heard politicians say, "I support the Second Amendment, but..."
Usually, whatever comes after the word "but" is a proposal to make it harder for law-abiding citizens to exercise a constitutional right.
This year's U.S. Senate race gives Texans a clear choice—not simply between two candidates, but between two very different views of the Second Amendment.

James Talarico has built a reputation as one of the Democratic Party's rising stars. He is a polished communicator with a growing national profile. But when it comes to the right to keep and bear arms, words matter far less than actions.
Throughout his time in the Texas Legislature, Talarico has repeatedly voted against legislation that strengthened the rights of law-abiding Americans.
In 2021, he voted against Constitutional Carry, siding with those who believed Texans should need a government-issued permit to exercise a constitutional right.
In 2023, he voted against legislation prohibiting the use of firearm merchant category codes, opposing protections for the financial privacy of lawful gun owners.
In 2025, he voted against concealed carry reciprocity, opposing legislation that would have allowed law-abiding Americans with valid concealed carry licenses from other states to legally carry while visiting Texas. That same year, he also voted against ending taxpayer-funded gun buyback programs, despite their questionable effectiveness at reducing violent crime.
These weren't one-time votes. They reflect a consistent belief that government should have more authority over when, where, and how law-abiding citizens exercise their Second Amendment rights.
At Gun Owners of America, we don't judge politicians by campaign speeches, polished videos, or promises made during election season. We judge them by their record.
The Founders recognized the right to keep and bear arms as a fundamental, God-given right that protects every other liberty. Rights are not granted by government, and they should never depend on the approval of politicians.
That is why Gun Owners of America has endorsed Ken Paxton for the United States Senate.
We didn't make that decision based on campaign promises. We made it based on a proven record.
On November 3, 2026, we have one decision to make: keep Texas a stronghold for the Second Amendment or allow a radical anti-gun politician to take office.
Electing Ken Paxton in November is a vote for the Second Amendment.
Over the coming weeks, I'll explain exactly why GOA reached that conclusion by comparing the candidates' records, votes, and public positions. I hope you'll read each email carefully and decide for yourself which candidate will defend your rights without compromise.
For now, GOA encourages all gun owners and sportsmen to stand with Ken Paxton in the November 3, 2026 general election for U.S. Senate.
Washington D.C. consultants and California anti-gunners think they can flip Texas! They're pouring millions into Talarico's campaign because they believe they can win. The only way to keep Texas a stronghold for the Second Amendment is to reject their agenda at the ballot box by voting for Ken Paxton.
In Liberty,
Tim Macy
President & Chairman of the Board
Gun Owners of America
P.S. Washington liberals and the swamp are out to make sure that Ken Paxton does not win this general election because they know he will not play their game. They know that they will lose a vote for gun control if Ken Paxton gets elected.
Ken Paxton will fight for you from day 1, but we need to help him. Please go here right now and chip in just $25 or more to Ken Paxton for U.S. Senate.
Please share this alert with your friends and family and encourage them to vote for Ken Paxton for the U.S. Senate.

Our existence is so fragile.
We can't even really fight/control wildfires.
Three wildfires have crossed the international border of Canada and Minnesota, and hundreds of thousands of acres have burned. 183 new starts across Ontario are expected to burn for weeks.
Wildfire smoke will blanket the eastern United States as poor air quality records are already being set.
More Minnesota fires merge as firefighters work to access the wilderness fires.
Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and California are still seeing wildfire activity. Full operational update. Wildfire aircraft are now hard to come by, as demand for aviation resources continues to increase.
Starting the morning campfire in spike camp. It’s easy, but hazardous. Burn injury report.
When synergy, normally beneficial, can be a bad thing.
Synergy is the concept where the combined effect of two or more elements is greater than the sum of their individual effects.

I had a weird moment of insight recently.
I have been troubled by the seemingly apparent increased danger on Bastrop area highways.
There are multiple serious accidents per week, frequently involving death.
Why so many.
Then I realized that I am hooked into the Bastrop Scanner online.
I hear about all serious accidents, immediately and in detail.
I didn't have that access before.
So, are there really more accidents or have the accidents that were already the norm simply become part of my world?
This line of thought made me contemplate the manner and degree to which social media skews our perspective of the world "around us".
I used to think that weekly publications were preferable to daily newscasts or newspapers, because they tended a bit more toward considered perspective rather than immediacy and sensationalism.
Social media and the internet give us immediate exposure to anything that happens anywhere.
How do we keep that flood of information in perspective?
13th Amendment abolished slavery - 100% Rep / 23% Dem support
14th Amendment gave citizenship to slaves - 94% Rep / 0% Dem support
15th Amendment gave ALL the right to vote - 100% Rep / 0% Dem support
Don't let Democrats lie about who they are and who they've always been
