@MiguelDelaney It was an all time great performance but it wasn’t licence to behave however he saw fit. No performance can ever be that when there’s 10 other teammates on the pitch.
@AkaPaulHoward He’ll Slot right in. The danger of course is that he’ll win a title in his first year and then have to watch his back for the 2nd season.
@AkaPaulHoward Lovely piece, Paul. Particularly taken by the reference to the homogenisation of sports broadcast production values and how that robs them of some mystery and other worldliness. Also the innocence of a mascot choice which would be deemed a racial stereotype now.
@Os1434391159@Sundogmonkey I absolutely love Rory and have no issue with him giving his opinion. I just don’t share it. But he does favour certain conditions - as all golfers do. If you see a course long and damp - he’s exceptional.
@lewis_goodall - seems that a little time hasn’t been enough for some people to understand the lessons from sharing a room with someone with Tourette’s. https://t.co/Feizeqp8AU
@Sundogmonkey As wealthy as they all are, there must be something chastening for the lesser LIV lights in realising that they’ve no inalienable right to earn huge money for hitting a small white ball. The bubble truly burst today.
@AkaPaulHoward On not having a textbook in school, I told the teacher that I left it out for my mam to cover but that she never got to it because she hadn’t finished the wallpapering and wasn’t sure there was spare paper to cover it.
@Betgolfworld@sam_golf I imagine it’s the scarring of disappointments past - the mind second guessing itself to avoid the familiar hurt. It highlights Rory’s resilience as one of his main assets now. A courage to believe and go again after a bad shot.
@Betgolfworld Savage call. I think practically all other betting pundits failed to distinguish the difference between someone honoured by the commitments and someone encumbered by same.
@BenColeyGolf I think there’s a pressure of its own in being in a position where you ‘should’ win. Add to that some suggestion that he can blithely ignore the added pressure of a major also adds its own pressure. He has shown nerves leading at regular tournaments so no suggestion he wont here
