@kleck69291@scotmaupin Spoiler alert: It has an interesting pun on "grace." Grace is a theological concept preached by the priest. Grace is also the practice of graciousness, allowing someone else their dignity and sense of self worth. Even the staunch non-believer might adhere to the second meaning.
Moving on from Orange to Osceola county in our quest to write two million #PostcardsToVoters to Florida Democrats reminding them to enroll in Vote By Mail. If you’d like to write with us, contribute to our work, or just learn more about us, go to https://t.co/nHucfOWyXU
@A_SquaredProd@scotmaupin I tried it once, up to where the baby dies while they're all sleeping. Turned it off, and have not been tempted to go back to it no matter how many people comment on its greatness.
@mexitalian81@scotmaupin I'll go with "White Lotus." People refer to it as a "satire." I don't see the wit or insight I associate with satire. Just awful people being awful.
Before that, "Arrested Development." I kept waiting for someone to learn something, though the title should have warned me.
@NelsonB76475730@manuel_alamilla I had a job making graphs and was so thrilled to learn that art stores sold adhesive tapes with different graph lines on them.
@manuel_alamilla In the class I took on FORTRAN, most of us were content to just use the JCL cards the instructor gave us. But the true nerds would announce that they hoped to learn JCL so they could write their own cards.
@PopcornPost_ I don’t know about masterpiece. But I’ve always considered “City Slickers” to be a great story, with the most trite, derivative, annoying sequel it would be possible to write.
@mariana057 A friend of mine saw a sign on a mailbox in a hotel: "Warning. Do not put mail in box after last pick up."
He asked, "Isn't it always after the last pick up?"
@Gibboanxious When the movie came out, I was teaching education leadership. We often discussed what made one a leader and how to use leadership for good. I was fascinated by Kevin Spacey’s character having phenomenal leadership qualities, which he knowingly used for evil.
Fascinated by this debate about the Christianity of Talarico and Paxton. Here's the thing: Paxton is corrupt.
What matters more in public office? Bad theology or outright corruption? Someone who believes wrong, or someone who does wrong?
the Republican campaign will literally never evolve beyond "he's gay and trans"
this is the only thing they'll run on for the next five months because there exists literally no argument in favor of Ken Paxton
There are Democrats who worry AOC can’t be elected president because she’s a Latina woman. Or Pete Buttigieg because he’s gay.
This is a helpful reminder that Republicans will go completely apeshit if you nominate a straight cis decent white guy too.
James Talarico said “God is non-binary” in 2019 and that offended my Christian ears. Therefore, I will vote for the serial adulterer who steals from thy neighbor and who will most certainly abuse his power once in office.
Remember, when a Dem calls @kenpaxton a "criminal", " a fraud", "a swindler", "a coward", "a cheat", "a pedophile protector", & "is thoroughly corrupted & unfit for office" they will simply be restating what @johncornyn & other TX & national Rs have already said about him.
You have seven months left where you could make a meaningful difference in holding Trump accountable and preventing a corrupt, out-of-control executive running wild over the next two years.
