@sLsirois @TamoraPierce I also really liked the interplay between Sacred Weapon and Trance of Order... with 20 dex and 18 cha, that’s a minimum of 25 to hit on every attack roll for a minute. Felt like Alanna going into calm fury mode when someone doesn’t respect the ideals of chivalry.

@sLsirois @TamoraPierce I struggled to find a build that would accurately reflect every spell that Alanna demonstrates in the series. I was leaning towards Paladin Oath of Devotion (6) / Clockwork Soul Sorcerer (14). Divine Soul is also ok... you do get the cleric spell list, but fewer spells known.

@sLsirois @TamoraPierce Nice! I’d been looking at a hypothetical Level 20 build to approximate her abilities across all of the series as closely as possible, and landed on a paladin/sorcerer multiclass, with magic initiate in the mix as well!

My current PC is a battlesmith artificer with proficiency in weaver’s tools... lots of inspiration taken from Sandry and Daja there 🥰

Don’t get me wrong, restrictions are needed, and long-overdue. I’m just so tired of there being this constant double standard between what’s allowable at restaurants versus at home, that takes away low-cost ways of socializing for months at a time.
