As said before, any rebuild will have elements of disappointment to see a player or players you like leave.

It's not going to be an easy rebuild, and tough, ruthless decisions will be needed.

If Vuskovic, Spence and/or Bergvall are part of that, then it's unfortunately something we will have to get used to.

Raising the squad's technical ability has to be the main priority.

I gave some thoughts and opinions based on one insiders Intel, and you've both essentially come at me for that rather than coming with a balanced, respectful reply.

I don't quite understand the enquiry for Neco Williams, and that's not because I don't think he is a decent player, just from a squad-building point of view.

We already have Djed Spence and Pedro Porro there, so a third doesn't make sense unless,

- Djed links to Everton or elsewhere are very serious, and Neco is a replacement, or,

- Djed is being pushed more advanced next season, as we've seen a few times. With the recruitment focus remaining on the left winger.

He has also played a fair amount at left-back, which makes the signing even more questionable, given that we have Robertson, Davies, Souza, Udogie, and even Van de Ven able to cover now that we have more centre-back options.

Souza needs a loan, and I'd be surprised if we were to let Udogie leave too.

The signing doesn't make much sense unless there are serious questions about either Spence or Udogie.
