Today they released this lovely documentary from that trip. Thank you to all our WWII veterans and everyone who made this trip possible. https://t.co/qDwRMoLzSA

It was an honor to be with the families of fallen heroes as they walked in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington, D.C. this Memorial Day. Spending time together in remembrance of their loved ones, and honoring the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, is something I hold deeply in my heart.
We remember them always.
Today is our nations Memorial Day. Enjoy your day and take a moment to remember the true meaning of this day. A day to pay our respects to all those who have given their lives in our country's defense. God bless these brave heroes and their families.
Sadly today we mourn the loss of Boston firefighter Bobby Kilduff, killed in the line of duty last night. Bobby (BK) served in the USMC before becoming a firefighter and was a dedicated volunteer of the Gary Sinise Foundation. Our hearts go out to his family and all he served with. Thank you BK. It was an honor to spend time with our nation’s heroes at Walter Reed this week during a Serving Heroes event. Taking a moment to share a meal, a conversation, and some gratitude is a small way to say thank you for all they have sacrificed in service to our country.
I’m always inspired when I visit and humbled by the strength, resilience, and spirit of those recovering. I'm grateful for the opportunity to spend time with them and their families. 🇺🇸
Tune in to the 37th annual National Memorial Day Concert, live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Hosted by Emmy Award-winner @GarySinise and Tony Award-nominee #MaryMcCormack, join us as we pay tribute to America’s fallen heroes and honor the sacrifice of our service men and women and their families. In 2025, I found a chart Mac had written in college with his pal in the USC Pop Music program, Brett Fromson. It’s called Blue Blood and Ivory. Turned out Oliver Schnee knew Brett from college and put me in touch. I asked Brett if he’d like to shape it up and record the song. Brett was totally game and on September 1st 2025, we were recording at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. The same studio where everything began for Mac, recording Arctic Circles on July 17, 2023.
Oliver produced, Brett sings lead, and we pulled together Mac’s pals Jake Hays, Alex Morgan and Brandon Woodward to help out. Also, vocalist Lou Roy. She sings three songs on Resurrection and Revival: Part Two, and it was so nice to have her come by to lend her incredible talent to Part Three.
In addition to all these great folks, I invited Mac’s drum mentor and pal Gregg Bisonette to come play drums on this rockin’ tune. Gregg is always on the road playing somewhere in the world and we were fortunate that the night before the session he arrived back home from a tour and could do it. Gregg playing on the record was so special. I know he did it for Mac and has told me many times that Mac was one of his favorite people. Mac loved Gregg and I know he’s tickled pink that Gregg and all his pals play on Blue Blood and Ivory. We added a few nice drum fills so Gregg could cut loose for Mac.
Enjoy this rockin’ tune from Mac Sinise Resurrection and Revival: Part Three.

“I saw the USS Arizona blow. I saw the USS Oklahoma capsize. To see those ships being torpedoed, capsizing, blowing up and sinking– it was a very discouraging sight.” – Chuck Kohler, WWII veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor.
The 2026 National Memorial Day Concert will commemorate the 85th anniversary of the attack at Pearl Harbor and share the story of Earl J. “Chuck” Kohler. Tune in Sunday May 24th, 8/7c on PBS.
On May 7, 2026, it was an honor to welcome U.S. Army Captain (Ret.) Leslie Nicole Smith to her brand new specially adapted smart home built by the Gary Sinise Foundation.
I have known Leslie for over 20 years and watched her face incredible challenges during, and since her military service, including the loss of her leg due to a blood infection contracted while serving in Bosnia 2001-2002, and also much of her eyesight. She is legally blind. Yet she continues to live with remarkable strength, positivity, and a deep commitment to helping other veterans and their families.
She is an inspiration to so many of us, and I’m grateful we could provide a home that will support her for years to come. Welcome home, Leslie.
