BREAKING: We just caught another wild trade.
President Trump just filed a June 24th purchase of Palantir stock, $PLTR
On August 4th, a Pentagon memo directed up to $244 million for Palantir.
The stock has risen 58% since the trade was made.
@FinanceLancelot That we can make the GDP 10, 12, 15 times if the Federal Reserve lowered interest rates and the government left the economy alone. So you should be happy that its 70% of the current amount 😂😂
Unpopular copper take:
AI data centers are getting delayed, paused and pushed back… yet copper keeps ripping.
I think the derrative market is pricing a demand that the physical market is actually not seeing.
And the irony?
The higher copper goes, the more expensive every data center becomes.
Higher input costs → worse project economics → fewer projects pencil → less future demand.
At some point copper starts killing its own bull case and there is always aluminum wiring and options
Smart money loading retail FOMO ahead of any Clarity Act approval, then selling the news the second it actually drops and leaving retail holding the bag is what this feels like...
The absolute one thing $BTC cannot do for the rest of 2026….
And that is go back below $70k.
Gotta hold that important “psychological whole number” area very similar to how it held $60k several times (despite a couple minor false breaches).
In other words, $70k is now the new $60k if you know what I mean.

@CheddarFlow Trump: What expiration are you looking at?
Barron: 9/18.
Trump: Buy the $24 VIX calls. $11M worth.
Barron: Then what?
Trump: I’ll handle the rest.
Barron Trump reportedly worth $150M and soon to be worth $200M.

Soon to be worth $200M...

Awesome idea for a show, I’d definitely watch it!!
Some more ideas:
- All the failed demos that the VCs don’t hear about or witnessed
- All the failed recruits that joined and left
- The “board update of the founder to his teams” vs “what was actually said in the board”
Take a simple idea and take it seriously.
Look no further than simplehuman. The Apple or Yeti of home products
Founded in 2000 by Frank Yang with a simple mission:
Build a better trash can.
Yang’s family immigrated from Taiwan. As a kid, he wanted to be an inventor. He studied political science, took an industrial design class, and eventually turned one of the most overlooked products in the home into a premium brand.
Simplehuman is doing upwards of $300 million in revenue in 2026
Today, it’s not just a trash can company.
It’s premium home products.
It’s sensor pumps.
It’s mirrors.
It’s compost caddies.
It’s custom-fit liners.
It’s odor pods.
It’s refills and subscriptions.
That’s the genius.
They didn’t just sell the product.
They built the ecosystem around the product.
They sell you a beautiful designed trash can
Recurring bags, and odor pods
The idea doesn’t have to be complicated.
The execution has to be serious.
One of the best brands out there.
The CEO has a low profile and bearly any social presence and is just printing money!
Hot take: SharkNinja is one of the most underrated companies in the world.
They enter saturated markets, out-engineer the incumbents, and price them into irrelevance.
Latest example: the Ninja FlexFlame.
A grill + smoker + griddle + roaster + pizza oven. One product. Zero compromises.
Weber has been doing one thing for 70 years. Ninja just did all of it.

Back-of-the-napkin math on 125 West End Ave (West End Labs):
2019: Taconic + Nuveen buy for ~$230M
2020: COVID hits
2020: Market screams life sciences is “pandemic-proof” (NYC leasing doubles per CBRE)
2021: $393M construction loan from Apollo/Oaktree as part of a $600M capitalization or ($982/SF construction loan)
2023: Construction finishes
2023-2026: Leasing is WEAK is a understatement. Literally no demand.
July 2026: Pershing Square Foundation @BillAckman buys the campus for $260M Purchase price or $300M less then the original purchase price, construction and carry cost. A steal price for @BillAckman
Sale: $260M wiped out equity and a loss in construction loan
Taconic, Nuveen, LaSalle, @apolloglobal were sitting on "unrealized" losses of at a minimum +$300 Million Dollars that just became "realized"
The ultimate “pandemic-proof” trade that got destroyed.
