"Gooning through Ohio ain't like grinding in Fort, boy. Without W Rizz we'll get fanum taxed or bounce too close to a Skibidi Toilet, and that would end your edging streak real quick wouldn't it?"
@CoollOnyx@adoralover I imagine they'll incorporate aspects of SPOP into it the way they did with aspects of 200X. It's clearly considered part of the brand's legacy and treated the same way 200X is since design elements were incorporated into the Masterverse figures
@Jbandos Idk, the movie drew from the 200X cartoon, so I think it's very likely that a hypothetical sequel would draw from SPOP. Mattel's been giving it the 200X treatment for a while now (giving 80s inspired figures design elements and accessories from said reboot)
So your reasoning for opposing their abortion is to get a jester...? Isn't this just an outrageous insult to human dignity? Imagine allowing to live a being only so it can be a jester for you, they don't get to have greater ambitions, to live like a human.
But instead they only get to exist because some people regard them as funny, in other words you're reducing a human life to just a clown, who's only raison d'etre is to act like the jester to everyone else.
@Rebel0fReality Mattel will have taken over the collector line by next year and moved back to the six inch scale. And if the MOTU Chronicles figures are anything to go off of, they're gonna blow McFarlane out of the water
@1928Fantasmic It was really the 1-2-3 of this being sandwiched between Force Awakens and Last Jedi. The whole โsjw movie badโ stick provided a fertile ground for that mentality to fester and spread over the internet
@gkaplan70873304 Skeletor had never seen He-Man transform prior to this. The only logical reason for Adam keeping a secret identity was to keep Skeletor from trying to kill him while he's vulnerable as Prince Adam
@W14694Williams@BruceSelina1940@romindenial She-Ra (1985) and 200X both got cancelled midway through season two, MOTU Revelation got cancelled after season two, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2021) got cancelled after season three, and The New Adventures of He-Man got cancelled after only one season.
@W14694Williams@BruceSelina1940@romindenial That version of She-Ra was actually the only MOTU related cartoon since the original Filmation He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to not get cancelled. It was always meant to run for five seasons.
@sirius_akgae Did you read A New Dawn and the Rebels comic? The former is a prequel and the latter is a companion piece. Then there's also Ahsoka, which is more or less a Rebels sequel
@petarsaur@TSoS_ I get that Canon's identity has very much been shaped by dark times projects since most of the stories that kicked it off were set in that era and a lot of its best stories are set in that era, but man I wish the Canon Clone Wars were more than TCW with shoutouts to CWMMP stuff
@petarsaur@TSoS_ It's kinda surprising how little Canon material takes place during the era that isn't directly tied to the cartoon or about Order 66. Off the top of my head, you only have like Queen's Hope/Brotherhood, a couple comic one shots, and one and a half Thrawn books
@Redpyramid9@Mattel It's such a great design. I'm low key bummed an Origins version wasn't a pack in with the new Slime Pit (although I have to imagine it's coming)
@ArkingKyle That being said, She-Ra had a fairly successful comeback in the late 2010s, but the toyline only got one wave and a con exclusive because Target got burned on superhero type dolls by Marvel Rising and they had the exclusive distribution rights until after the show ended
@ArkingKyle 200X flopping horrendously pretty much meant MOTU went on ice outside of some collector product up until the movie was supposed to be a done deal (but then COVID threw a wrench into things so we got the Origins relaunch and WWE crossover toys about six years early)
