gg 5-7 against @FNATIC
Nao sei nem o que falar pelo quanto que jogamos horrendamente mal, entao so pedir desculpas e prometer que trabalharemos duro para voltar melhor.
Is this a good world ranking ?
People are asking me how it works, so here is how we do it:
We look at tournament results, recent form and international performance. Tournament results carry the most weight, followed by international performance and then recent form.
For tournament results, we check where you finished and which event you played. For example winning SI counts more than winning a major.
We use results from the last 365 days, but they lose half their value every 90 days. So you need to keep performing to stay at the top.
Recent form goes a bit deeper.
Before each match, we compare both teams ratings to see what the expected result is. Then we check how the match actually went.
Winning 2-0 against a strong team gives more credit than winning 2-0 against a team you were already expected to beat. A 2-0 also counts more than a 2-1 against the same opponent.
Same thing with losses. Taking a map off a strong team counts more than losing 0-2.
We give equal weight to the series result and the share of maps won, then compare that performance with the expectation.
This part uses the last 60 days. Newer matches count more, and activity matters too. One upset won't give you a full recent form score.
International performance gives extra weight to results against teams from other regions. We use up to six of your latest approved international results. These also count toward tournament results, so doing well internationally has more influence on your ranking.
Roster changes matter too.
Results follow the players when they change org. Keeping all five players keeps the full value of those results. With four or three players remaining, that value drops. Below three, the old team result stops counting.
A completely new mix can get some temporary credit from the players previous results. That disappears over the first five official matches as the team builds its own results.
APAC regional results carry less weight and have a lower limit on their contribution to recent form. APAC teams get full value at approved international events.
Thats how it comes together.
Let me know what you think and what should be improved :)
