Tomo wants everyone to know about Tapeworms!

They appear as little white grains of rice around the back end or in the fur/litter box. They are actually spread by fleas! The cat eats the flea when grooming which leads to the tapeworm infection.

Harley has a beautiful example of #heterochromia which is the presence of different colored eyes.

This is most common in Husky's, Dalmatians, Australian shepherds, and cattle dogs.

Little Mikey was a handsome stray that turned out to be a GIRL at the first appointment!
She is big enough for her spay and did amazing through the entire procedure. Her owner reported the next morning that she was acting like "surgery had never happened!"

After a pet turns 7 years old they are considered a "senior" and many things age very quickly after this point in their life. This is why we recommend annual blood work and examinations every six months.

Gate City went to a Continuing Education dinner about Librela to learn about the most cutting edge treatment options for pets with arthritis!

Moose just finished his final puppy vaccines to protect him from Parvo, Distemper, and Rabies and is now ready to mingle and socialize!

It is very important that puppies complete their last parvo vaccine to ensure they are complete protected from this dangerous virus.

Nellie does not like coming to the vet. We strive to give her the most #fearfree experience possible.

She is prescribed medication to help her which she takes prior to arrival. We go very slow with Nellie using low stress techniques to ensure she does not feel threatened.

Sadie was diagnosed with a yeast infection in both ears and was treated with a leave in medication that lasts for 4 weeks. This means... NO MORE MEDS AT HOME!

Dexter is the most handsome 15 year old #ginger today for his dental cleaning!

He has a previous diagnosed heart murmur that he went to a cardiologist to evaluate to ensure it was safe for him to undergo anesthesia for his dental cleaning.

Coco transferred to us in her bassinette from our local emergency hospital for treatment of #pancreatitis

He had developed bloody vomit and diarrhea and was very lethargic.

After some continued tender loving care and fluid support, Coco made a full recovery and is doing great!

Did you know that puppies under 5# are at risk for hypoglycemia?

It is VERY important that they eat 3-4 times per day minimum until they are big enough/old enough to support their blood sugar. Low blood sugar can appear are lethargy, not eating, and worst is coma and seizures.

She donated some blood and urine to ensure she healthy inside and out!

Beau was a VERY naughty boy when he decided to destroy his mom's razor and ingest 3 of the razor blades!

You can see the three thin metallic blades on the x-rays (red arrows). All three razor blades were retrieved and Beau lives on to destroy things another day!
