Foot care supports Guests’ dignity, mobility, and daily life.
At TGP, @podiatry_nl helps us to provide essential foot care to 20 Guests at each clinic—helping remove barriers to basic health care and supporting everyday movement.
We’re so grateful for kind partners like these.
With all the snow this week, helping a neighbour shovel is no small gesture — and it can mean all the difference.
Acts of care like this build the kind of community we all want to be a part of.

Christmas entertainment and generosity with @kellieloder!
On Dec 18 @ 8pm, join us for some Christmas music at the Basilica, and bring along warm winter items (coats, hats, mitts, socks) or a monetary donation. Together, let's celebrate Christmas with a kind and generous spirit.
We had a great event this week celebrating the completion of Mercy House and O'Callaghan's Haven with various supporters, foundational donors, and community leaders.
We can truly make dreams of kindness come true, when we all work together. 💙🧡💙
#KindnessWanted#PleaseHelp
We are very excited to celebrate the completion of construction of Mercy House and O'Callaghan's Haven. Due to limited space, we are live streaming the event for anyone wishing to participate.
Roger, we cannot say thank you enough, for your kindness and on-going positive influence. You have impacted so many people!
Please join with us, as we celebrate this amazing milestone!
For the past 30 years, Roger Davis has been a humble and dedicated staff member at The Gathering Place. He has worn many hats over the years, and has seen many changes, but one thing remains – his passion for serving the Guests.
#ThankYouForYourKindness
Roger was also honoured with a 75th Anniversary of Confederation Medal. These medals have been given to Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who have made significant contributions to their communities and the province over the past 75 years.
To help, we are kindly asking for donations of warm blankets, hats, mitts, winter coats, and hand warmers.
You can drop off donations at 172 Military Road (next to the Basilica) between 9am and 3pm.

🦃This Thanksgiving, as a lot of us enjoy turkey with all the trimmings, please consider sending us a donation so we can continue to help others. A gift of $25, $50, $100 or even $750 (covering a full lunch service) can really help a lot!

We all have so much to be thankful for.
🍽️On average, The Gathering Place serves nearly 600 meals every day to those in need. While every Guest has a different story, a common theme of gratitude and thankfulness is often shared.
What are you thankful for?
