@TheOmniLiberal@mehdirhasan yet again held to account with proof and yet another dodge, I thought you were a journalist who could actually engage, turns out youre just a propagandist who cant engage seriously
Not only was Finkelstein wrong on this point, this point was missed by so many laymen that the recently retired President of the ICJ, Joan Donoghue (who presided over the case) had to come out and make a public statement due to so many members of the media spreading misinformation about the case's strength at the initial proceedings. (attached video 1) I guess that Wikipedia education is paying off for me, if I was able to get ahead of most members of the media on that talking point!
Congratulations for chatting with Olmert, though, he's a friendly guy! I would know, since I've also interviewed him! (attached picture)
I've also interviewed Yossi Belin (initiator and major architect of the Oslo Accords) and Shlomo Ben-Ami (Israeli diplomat who participated in the Camp David Summit). (attached pictures) This is among numerous others in the Israeli Knesset and the West Bank.
I'm sorry that I've mispronounced names, though, I guess that kind of deligitimizes every other opinion I have on the conflict..? Because I use Wikipedia? Shouldn't that make it even harder to combat the claims I've made, though?
What does it say for your side if I've been able to dismantle every single talking point you have while all you can do is accuse me of using "wikipedia"? Shouldn't Norm Finkelstein have known more about the ICJ case, maybe? Maybe they uploaded the entire thing to Wikipedia, I guess.
It's strange to me that a man willing to go head-to-head with people like Tommy Robinson and the leader of the AFD would be so frightened by a man who he's accusing of only reading Wikipedia.
More dodging. Stop responding to me, these deflections are as predictable as they are pathetic. You cannot engage at this level because you have reduced yourself to a simpleminded activist without the capacity for critical thought, accept it and just move on.
And stop pretending that this was your excuse to cower from a challenging conversation, you've been dodging me from far before I've raised these specific criticisms towards you (attached video 1).
1. It beggars belief that you think it unfair for me to accuse you of being a "mask-on radical Islamist" when you are giving a free pass to a man who mask-off defends radical Islamists.
You have accused people of Islamophobia for far, far less than what people have accused Hasan of anti-Semitism.
Not every accusation of you supporting terrorism has to come from a place of bigotry, especially when you refuse to call out people who you are promoting on your own programs who openly support terrorist attacks against the West. You have remained silent on this claim, you refuse to engage with it. People see that, and it's fair for them to draw assumptions about you when you allow these types of narratives to pass by you without criticism or mention.
2. It's funny that you claim I had my ass "handed to me" by Norman Finkelstein, then back that up by linking to a video of him...calling me silly names. You realize he later admitted to Briahna Joy Gray (attached video 2) and Marc Lamont Hill (attached video 3) that he had no intention of ever approaching that debate in good faith, yes? His whole idea was to just go in and act like a baffoon the entire time because he thought it would be funny.
It speaks highly to your intellectual honesty that you consider it to be an impressive performance when he himself admits to acting like a clown; I suppose it's emblematic of how much of a joke you are when it comes to taking the Israel/Palestine conflict seriously, though.
Funnily enough, there's actually only a few major factual disagreements we had, since Finkelstein spent the majority of the time screaming at me and calling me names. One of them had to do with the "plausibility standard" that the ICJ uses to initially hear a case brought before the court. (attached video 4)
@MxVivianWulf@rezzivaer@shannonrwatts So funny that youre so fucking stupid as to not even try and understand the context.
Whick is saying Popstonox cut any mention of him out of P's post trying to signal boost to you obsessive freaks of D's convo with the Watts person, not that Destiny cut Whick from the convo
Blind partisans everywhere.
@mehdirhasan will not meaningfully respond to this tweet, because he cannot. Unfortunately, he's built a sizeable part of his career in the last few years by giving infinite, unconditional cover to people who are supportive of these terrorist groups, and now he cannot meaningfully engage with criticism in this direction.
It's sad, because if you know anything about Mehdi, he is one of the most brutal and effective interviewers when confronting people on the right. Yet he gives a totally free pass to extremists he views as...more ideologically inline with him? Or more on his side, politically? Or...what?
Tell me, what are we supposed to make of it when you give a free pass to a person who openly worships and cheers on terrorist attacks? Why can't you answer this question?
You're upset I said you were a "mask-on Islamist" for supporting mask-off Islamic terrorist supporters, and in the next breath call me "pro-genocide" because...I disagree that Israel should be a single, Muslim majority state? What? How does that make sense?
Why can't you address your lack of criticism for:
Hasan openly cheering on a civilian vessel hijacking? Those hostages were held for over 400 days, and they had nothing to do with Israel. He interviewed someone he believed to be a Houthi and laughed about it the entire time.
Hasan openly cheering on the sabotage of RAF planes in the UK? Those planes were headed for Ukraine. You thought it was improper for the UK to suspend his ETA Visa waiver when Hasan had literally cheered for a UK-designated terrorist group attacking their own air force bases.
Hasan giving blanket support to the Houthis to attack civilians? They were attacking any civilian ship they could, it had nothing to do with "stopping the genocide".
Hasan saying he doesn't have a problem with Hezbollah and supports them in their fight against Israel? He says they're a legitimate part of Lebanon?
Or are you going to retreat to your usual defence of Hasan and say these are "out of context" or "edgy jokes" again, since you are utterly incapable of explaining away any of this without saying you are providing cover for terrorist organizations?
Back in 2020, my community hosted the largest canvassing operation in the state of Georgia over multiple weekends to go out and doorknock for Ossof and Warnock. This is how Hasan felt about it, back before there was any clout in being supportive of either candidate:
@mehdirhasan@shannonrwatts What a dodge you loser. You'd never allow this if you were interviewing someone. You accuse Destiny of being a genocide supporter, with no evidence, but when he provides evidence of Hasan supporting terrorism and you sweeping for him, you just dismiss it as "Islamophobia"
@keithedwards Keith why dont you go run cover for more pedophiles like you did with your previous boss or are you too busy covering for people who support raping rich women like hasan?
Destiny goes at Mehdi Hasan for “dishonestly sweeping” for Hasan Piker
Drops a bunch of questions regarding Piker
“Since you’ve never pushed him on any of these positions..you’re just another mask-on, radical Islamist who’s been concealing his radical beliefs”
Just a reminder that Hasan's editor is posting cryptic threats like this against @ossoff while members of Hasan's audience have literally gotten arrested for making phone calls and death threats to the spouses of sitting US Senators after hearing @hasanthehun gloat about how effective the behavior is.
You, someone whose proven themselves to be largely clueless about Israel/Palestine, are confident enough to say I “support genocide” in Gaza, but cannot bring yourself to make any meaningful statements condemning a man who you now see OPENLY supports terrorism against anyone in the west?
You had him on your show for an interview and chalked all of his support for terrorism up to “edgy comments”?
Is his support for Hezbollah just edgy? Do you support Hezbollah’s existence as a foreign funded and Iranian founded entity in Lebanon like Hasan does?
Do you support civilian hijackings and terror attacks on civilians from the Houthis like Hasan does? Would you ask a self-purported Ansar Allah fighter what his favorite anime is and then giggle along in an interview while he tells you about how they drugged the passengers of the Galaxy Leader and sang songs with them?
Was China correct in their takeover of the Tibetan savages like Hasan says? Do you support their crackdowns in Hong Kong and would you support them taking back Taiwan?
Does Russia have a right to own Crimea because most of the people there were ethnically Russian like Hasan says?
Was the murder of two Jews in the US a false flag from the Mossad like Hasan says?
Since you’ve never pushed him on any of these positions nor addressed any of them in any meaningful way, I’d say it’s fair to assume every right wing attack on you is most likely correct. You’re just another mask-on, radical Islamist who’s been concealing his radical beliefs in an attempt to infiltrate western media by appearing more palatable to the liberal masses.
How else could you explain such unfathomably dishonest sweeping for open support of terrorist attacks?
The sequence of events here:
-Destiny makes a claim about Hasan
-You call it a smear
-Destiny gives you an example of the claim about Hasan
-You respond with a smear, then back away from the initial denial of the claim with a “I don’t speak for Hasan”
Man. I mean. What the fuck lol.
Disappointing, they really all just avoid the more damning videos and continue to say “out of context” or “these were edgy jokes”? I guess the DSA types really are just blue MAGA, and anyone associated with these types are just openly supporting Islamic terrorism.
@thepondering_@MrMouton@JoeShmoe541203 Geezus so Kyle could literally say
"Slotkin is the worst shitlib maga-lite dem to ever hold office and should be shamed for her worthless genocidal tenure and impeached and replaced by a true dem, that being said shes about a hairs width better than maga so vote for her"
???
You are dramatically out of step with the party. Most Americans, especially Democrats in a battleground state, aren’t going to be happy aligning with a man who’s cheering on Islamic terrorists, pushing for a Jewish genocide and praying for the destruction of the United States.
People post videos of you from many years ago where you're espousing radical Islamist ideas. You've claimed to have changed, yet here I find you sweeping for obvious Islamic terror worship, why?
Were you lying when you said you've changed?
Or are you really just ignorant as to what you defend?
What am I supposed to think about you, or el-Sayed, when you can't even speak with honesty about what's right before your eyes? We've all seen the streams, we've all seen the videos.
I posted this video earlier at you and I noticed you didn't respond, so please - can you tell me what @hasanthehun is doing in this video? Why is he cheering on the terrorist hijacking of a ship where hostages were taken for 400+ days?
Am I to assume that you haven't changed, and you still support Islamic terrorist attacks against the west, but you simply hide it now? Do you believe there aren't a dozen other videos I can post of Hasan openly cheering on terrorist attacks against civilians in the west?
