I saw a lot of uneducated bigots & low life media questioning Professor Jean Dreze

So people should know more about him:-

1) He played a key role in MGNREGA

2) He was a leading figure in the Right to Food Campaign

That campaign fed into Supreme Court orders on midday school meals and the public distribution system, and later the National Food Security Act (2013)

3) His fieldwork in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and elsewhere documents how welfare schemes actually reach, or fail to reach, poor households.

Also, he is an Indian citizen. And, has lived in India since 1979.

He is one of the leading Welfare Economists in the world.

Why is Narendra Modi scared of Jantar Mantar?

The Jantar Mantar belongs to THE PEOPLE OF INDIA. Did the Ministry of Home Affairs consult with the people of India? Were any stakeholders consulted? Were any organisations consulted?

Take it in writing—just how they are denotifying people’s Jantar Mantar, the Prime Minister will soon denotify democracy in India. This move is a step towards that.

We do not accept this arbitrary decision. It is an assault on people’s fundamental right to protest and peaceful assembly. Ab poora desh Jantar Mantar ban raha he!
