🚨 Reporter asks Michael Olise why this World Cup is so significant to him:
🎙️ Reporter:
“Michael, what makes this World Cup so special for you?”
🗣️ Michael Olise:
“Every World Cup is special, but this one feels different.
It’s the biggest stage in football and it’s a chance to create memories that last forever.”
🎙️ Reporter:
“If France don’t win it, which country would you like to see become champions?”
🗣️ Michael Olise:
“Portugal.”
🎙️ Reporter:
“Why Portugal?”
🗣️ Michael Olise:
“Because they’re the champions of Europe and they have a fantastic team.
But if I’m being honest, there’s another reason.
My mum has always been a huge supporter of Cristiano Ronaldo.
She’s followed his career for years.”
🎙️ Reporter:
“So Cristiano is the reason?”
🗣️ Michael Olise:
“Partly, yes.
My mum always jokes that she’s praying for either me or Cristiano Ronaldo to win the World Cup.
And since we know this could be his last opportunity, it’s important to her that he wins it.
She’s always admired his mentality, discipline and everything he’s achieved in football.”
🎙️ Reporter:
“So if France can’t do it, you want Portugal and Cristiano to lift the trophy?”
🗣️ Michael Olise:
“Exactly.
Obviously I want France to win.
But if that doesn’t happen, seeing Cristiano complete football by winning a World Cup would be a special moment.
Not just for him, but for a lot of people who grew up watched him”.
