Assume for 1 sec that ND originally joined the ACC for 2 main reasons... Scheduling partner for Olympic sports and bowl tie-in's for the FB team. W/ more player opt-outs for bowls NOT in the playoff, why does ND need the ACC bowl tie-in's? Stay FB ind+JoinBig East?

@kierang3573 I noticed that UConn(independent) has only 11 games scheduled so far in 2026.
Is it possible that ND can both lock up a multi-year deal with a fellow independent and keep a foot in the door of the Big East?
Away games could be played at Gilette Stadium for max visibility.

I spent many grueling hours on the field in the mid 1980's.

@roundthebend574 Interesting thing about that gym... It had a very low ceiling.
It's said that coaches/officials could recognize players who went to that Mishawaka middle school by the "flattened" jump shot. All the arc taken out to compensate for the low ceiling.

Mishawaka High School 1.0 pictured.

Mishawaka High School 2.0 was built next to it. That still stands as apartments. That building turned into the junior high when the Mishawaka High School 3.0 was built - which is the current high school.
