I’ve been watching $LUCE closely through the quiet period, and I think some people are overlooking what has actually happened underneath the chart. Price is one part of the story. But when I’m judging whether a community project still has life, I look at holder retention, distribution, social growth, community activity, and whether people are still showing up when attention is harder to earn. On those measures, LUCE still looks very alive to me. At the height of attention, LUCE had around 43K to 44K on-chain holders. After the major post-hype washout, the holder base settled around the mid-30Ks. From what I can see, it has been fairly stable for most of the last year. Around 7 months ago, LUCE had about 35K on-chain holders. Today, it is still just over 34K. That is a much smaller decline than many people would probably expect from a project that has been through such a long quiet period. To me, that matters. It suggests the biggest holder reset already happened, and since then, the remaining base has shown a surprising amount of conviction. Weak conviction leaves. Stronger conviction stays. The distribution also looks stronger than many people realise once known exchange wallets are excluded from the concentration numbers. Exchange wallets usually represent pooled customer balances, so treating them like normal individual whale wallets can give a distorted picture. Based on the latest cleaned wallet review, the top 100 non-exchange holders hold around 28.9%, the top 250 hold around 36.3%, and the largest known non-exchange wallet holds about 1.65% of supply. That is not what I would expect from a project that is supposedly dead or controlled by one or a few wallets. The social side has also shifted recently. The LUCE X account was steadily declining for a while, but over roughly the last month it has started growing again, adding about 500 followers and moving back to around 15.2K. CoinMarketCap activity has also changed. Recent LUCE posts are not just getting a few hundred views anymore. A number of them have been reaching close to or over 10K organic views. Same with X. Some recent posts have seen a clear uptick in views, likes, and real engagement compared with the quiet period. None of this guarantees a price outcome. It does not have to. But it does show that LUCE has not gone silent. The holder base is still there. Distribution is healthier than many realise. Social attention is returning. The community is still creating, replying, posting, defending, and building without being paid to care. And beneath all of that is the part I think crypto still has not fully caught up with: LUCE has cultural appeal beyond crypto itself. Most memecoins probably will not come back. But I do think LUCE has a foundation that is rare for a project at this stage. Culture. Distribution. Conviction. Community. That is why I’m still paying attention. #LUCE
