A significant moment in Uganda’s military history was marked on Thursday, 20 August 2026, as President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, Commander in Chief of the UPDF, presided over the retirement ceremony of 19 UPDF Generals at State House, Entebbe.

@MODVA_UPDF is holding the second edition of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Interforces Drill Competition at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala.
Held under the theme, “Precision, Discipline and Cohesion: Pillars of National Resilience and Transformation,” the competition builds on the inaugural edition held in May 2025.
The competition brings together 40 teams drawn from various UPDF formations and units, comprising senior and junior officers, warrant officers and other ranks.
The event provides an opportunity for participants to demonstrate military precision, discipline, teamwork and cohesion while promoting professional excellence and strengthening the values that contribute to national resilience.
