82. rocznica Powstania Warszawskiego
1 sierpnia 1944 r. Warszawa stanęła do walki o wolność. Przez 63 dni Powstańcy – żołnierze i cywile, młodzi i starzy – walczyli z niemieckim okupantem o wolną Polskę.
Pamiętamy o ich odwadze, poświęceniu i ofierze. Pamiętamy o mieszkańcach Warszawy, którzy zapłacili najwyższą cenę.
🕯️ Cześć i chwała Bohaterom!
🇵🇱 Wieczna pamięć Ofiarom Powstania Warszawskiego.

We remember the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising of 1944!
The Warsaw Uprising was the largest effort by any European resistance movement during WWII. It was brutally crushed by the Germans after 63 days of heroic fighting.
As a result of the German atrocities, over 200,000 civilians were killed. Warsaw, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, was reduced to ruins.

On 1 Aug 1944, the Warsaw Rising began. Driven by an indomitable will to be free, the Poles rose and fought valiantly against the German occupiers. Civilians perished in mass executions and under a continuous hail of bombs and shells. It is estimated that between 150,000 and 200,000 people lost their lives. Across the Vistula the Soviet army halted its advance; when its forces finally entered the city in 1945, Warsaw lay utterly razed—reduced to a wilderness of ruins.

3 Mayıs 1791'de kabul edilen Polonya Anayasası, Avrupa'nın ilk, dünyanın ise ikinci anayasasıdır.

🇵🇱 The Polish alphabet consists of 32 letters, including: ą, ć, ę, ł, ń, ó, ś, ź, ż. There are also 7 digraphs (ch, cz, dz, dź, dż, rz, sz) and one trigraph (dzi).
😎 But don’t worry – once you start studying Polish in earnest, it won’t be all that difficult.
When IDF soldiers murdered Polish chef Damian Soból for cooking meals to starving refugees in Gaza, the world barely cared.
This man had spent his entire life showing up for strangers including during an earthquake in Turkey. Every time the world broke, Damian was there.
