The GCMLP empowers and engages through #servicelearning and #medialiteracy, providing an educational pathway from junior college through graduate school.
Hey, look, our coordinator @BenBo370 is presenting on something other than the Global Critical Media Literacy Project! (Though surely he will mention the GCMLP! :) )
Join Ben Boyington of the @GCMLProject for a discussion in political advertising and rhetoric in social media to explore how it affects voting, political understanding, and public discourse.
Registration is open! Sign up for the NRMLC here: https://t.co/AG6xzWWvZg
This is an excellent piece, worthy of our mission and, we hope, the mission of media literacy advocates everywhere. Thanks, @timjacobwise! https://t.co/hUcWXPIl9n @Mythinfo@ProjectCensored @nolan_higdon @ACMECoalition
.@fake_spotting, a graduate student at Rochester Institute of Technology engaged in visual media lit research, is seeking 2000 average media consumers to take this survey: https://t.co/NVSuPfFOLA.
(Note: This is not an endorsement; we are not affiliated with those involved.)
@NatashaCaseyIRL@BenBo370@ACMECoalition@ProjectCensored @nolan_higdon @Mythinfo + question institutions, to investigate the connections (collusion!) between media and state? “No one is going to give you the education you need to overthrow them" (Assata Shakur). We need pockets of committed educators.+
@GameSethMatch@CritML@MediaLiteracyEd@MedialitIreland@brayton_spencer @ithacalooksharp @NatashaCaseyIRL @drchrisgoering And I also think the diversity of approach and of content is ... excellent. Media lit must be integrated across the curricula. It can be the tool to push for cross-disciplinary work. We should use it to tear down silos. And to inculcate deep learning and critical action.
