I work at the course, and make bogeys there too.
Currently on a quest to break 80.

Solution: Budget build and golf club buy/sell to fund the whole project.
Result: Fun and functional simulator and the only real cost was time!

T: Thought the driver might be a little worn because the cover was, but it was the most pristine R7 I've seen. Anyway, added a TM hybrid I picked up along the way, posted the set, and got that $270 you saw up there.

T: I was shocked that these were for sale at this price and told the guy I could be there in 20 minutes. Rushed over, picked them up.

@hutch_golf Great thread. I've been working on a project to build a sim with only a $200 initial investment (+time) and it's been a pretty fun adventure.

@4golfonline Yes, I went from a Callaway Razr Hawk to a Callaway Rogue. Max distance only changed about 7 yards, but average distance....about 30, which may have as much (more) to do with shaft as head.

Being on a country club Grounds Crew = satisfying golf content + paid to be able to play at said course! Great part time job!

I really enjoy setup every morning, getting to impact the complexion of the course. It's a fun time, great summer job too.

@4golfonline Putting! For me it feels like the most difficult thing to practice authentically, all the other parts feel more easily translations.
