Such market conditions really highlight the fact that if you want to capture the upside potential of this asset class without the pain of dealing with the daily volatility, mental roller coaster associated, custody problem, investing in a good liquid crypto fund solve a huge part of this problem.

The market has matured as we have expected, and 2024 is probably the year with the widest dispersion of returns across I can recall. Certain sectors done very well in Q1 like mid and large cap memecoins but have underperformed significantly last 2 months. DeFi was hated for the longest time but put up a very strong performance lately.

A pure passive portfolio of just holding the top blue chips delivered surprising mediocre returns YTD of 118% (BTC), 42.4% (ETH), 69.23% (SOL), while S&P 500 returned 30% YTD.

If this market continues to mature as I expect it to be, it's gonna be tougher to generate good returns without spending as much time on the market like full time professionals like us.

the most unique thing about this cycle by far and away is that the giant winners were the ones who built genuinely great products and had a north star of democratizing to make things more "fair".

Example time:
