Ron DeSantis is the only Republican who delivered tonight. There was a blue tsunami across the country except for the state he spent 8 years turning ruby red. Objectively the most effective Republican in elected office. Consistent winner for 8 years straight.
I feel a little mixed and selfish tonight because all politics are local, and my state of Florida is saved and we will flourish for years.
But I feel horrible for the rest of the country, especially Texas.
But the good news is Democrats will screw this up so bad, it’ll swing back Republican again big time.
🚨 BREAKING: Ohio voters APPROVE Issue 3, amending the state CONSTITUTION to require PHOTO ID to vote in person
This is DESPITE the Democrat sweep in Ohio
It's COMMON-SENSE legislation that John Thune should've passed FEDERALLY while we had the chance
Good news for Republicans as Michele Tafoya takes the LEAD in Minnesota’s Senate race with 51.4% of the vote.
Given how badly the midterms are going for Republicans, Democrats should be up 15 points.
But after Minnesota taxpayers watched billions of dollars vanish in scandal after scandal, that’s not happening.
Tafoya ran on fraud and corruption, and she’s outpacing Trump in parts of the state.
John Thune will forever be remembered as a COWARD.
He had the power, the position, and the opportunity to stand up and fight. Instead, he chose political games, weak leadership, and the comfort of the Washington establishment.
When America needed a backbone, John Thune proved he didn’t have one.
His legacy will be one of weakness, failure, and cowardice.
This man was handed a once-in-a-generation GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY to change the country for the better...
...instead he blocked Trump at every turn, sent the Senate on WEEKS OF VACATION and refused to pass the SAVE Act.
What a vile human being.
Long post worth the read. I have a close friend who flies private jets. He flew Lear 60 for over 15 years and now flies a Gulfstream. This is a copy and paste of his response to me asking him if I thought Ice was the issue.
“We always fly in ridiculous cold temperatures.”
“Usually you get the bad ice when the temperatures are like 0 to negative 20. Believe it or not, there's a point where it gets too cold for ice. At negative 40, you pretty much can't get ice. Besides that, the airplane is equipped with hot wings and hot tail.”
“I flew the Lear 60 for like 15 years. It's a no joke airplane and probably the most dangerous airplane I've ever flown. It has a super critical wing. The airflow has to be perfect. When it gets into rough air and turbulence, it will easily stall. It has stalled on me at 41,000 feet just because we got into some turbulence. (On the way to Palm Beach as a matter of fact. ) we recovered and got her flying again around 30,000 ft. Scary
But here's the problem. This airplane has a terrible coffin corner. (At high altitudes) what that means is, you fly in a really narrow window where if you lose 20 knots, it stalls. And if you gain 20 knots, it goes into overspeed. The air goes supersonic over the wing and it goes into a high speed stall, or worse, a Mach tuck.
So if you stall, the normal recovery is to push the yoke forward to lower the nose and gain air speed again. At low altitude, you can push really hard and recover quickly. But in the 60... if you push hard, it will gain air speed and go into a high speed stall, it doesn't take much. It's very sensitive. The 60 has super short wings that don't make much lift. So then you high speed stall, and the computer is yelling at you... OVERSPEED! So then you pull back and enter a low speed stall. And you go back and forth trying to keep it in the air speed window.
This whole thing is pretty scary. And you should recover basically by using your finger tips using super small corrections. You can't over do it. If you try to muscle the recovery, she gets mad and will become unrecoverable. If she enters a mach tuck. You're done.”
“I taught the Lear 60 to other pilots and mentored them. I told them... this airplane has a soul and it's trying to kill you. Do not ever try to top the weather. Don't go over a thunderstorm. Go around it. If it means a half hour longer, then do it. Going over the thunderstorm will go into turbulence that you might not recover from.
These pilots went right over a thunderstorm. I think it stalled which caused them to drop down into the thunderstorm and ended up in mach tuck. They picked up so much speed that it ripped off the horizontal stabilizer. At that point... chuck Yeager can't fix it.
These same pilots did something similar a couple months ago. ATC got mad at them. They poked the bear one too many times.
This is not a beginner airplane. The Gulfstream would never do this. It has HUGE margins of error and won't stall like that. But then again... it's got HUGE wings. It's a pussy cat.
The Gulfstream is like driving a 4 wheeler. The Lear 60 is like riding a uni cycle.”
HiISTORICALLY, the administration that’s in power often loses in the midterms. So, if Trump loses the midterms in his final term, he can always do what Obama did.
Obama had two years left to his second term when he lost in the midterms. He was a lame duck president who’d lost the Senate, yet what did he say?
“I‘ve got a phone, and I’ve got a pen.”
And with those words, Obama proceeded to executive-order his entire legislation. He started thinking about every controversial move he could make, and then he acted on each one.
Obama decided that we should join the Paris Accord’s phony climate agenda, and he pledged us to a green deal with them. Next, Obama decided we should recognize Cuba, which we did. Hola¡ Punch my travel ticket to Havana! Then, Obama decided we should join the Iran deal too. Done.
Obama did ALL of this without a senate, without a treaty, and without the 60-vote approval of the Senate.
So, before you leftists all crow that Trump’s agenda will be dead in the water should Dems retake control of both Houses, remember Barack Obama had a phone 📞 and a 🖊️.
Trump does too, only his phone has broader range and his pen has an endless supply of ink.
😂
To the polls!
🚨🔥 TEXAS SENATE SHOCKWAVE 🔥🚨
Ken Paxton is PROJECTED to clinch victory over James Talarico in one of the most brutal Senate battles in modern Texas history!!
🔴 Ken Paxton: 54.3% 🔵 James Talarico: 45.7%
Projected Margin: 🔴 R+0.8
The state’s Attorney General just survived the political gauntlet — crushing incumbent John Cornyn in the Republican primary runoff by massive margins with the full-throated endorsement of President Donald Trump. Now he’s on the verge of holding the line in a race that has been a pure knife fight.
Democrats haven’t won a Senate seat in Texas since 1988. Not once. This is the longest drought in the country, and Paxton is fighting to keep that streak alive despite every controversy thrown at him. Just like Ted Cruz in 2018, the red state fundamentals are still giving him the edge — but this one is razor-thin.
Forecast via @Pollsmax.
Texas is on the brink. Every vote is about to matter. 🔥
I am a gay man who voted all Republican today and now I am driving an hour and a half to bring a friend back to town to vote! He was stranded due to car issues.
Fear not... David Zorkocy is here to save the day! One more Republican vote in Ohio!
My prediction is there will be mass election fraud in the midterms that will be blatantly obvious, and when President Trump points this out and corrects it, the Democrats will start mass riots in the streets and try and burn down the country and it will be up to MAGA and Patriots to meet them in the street and defend their, families neighborhoods and cities
I’m gay. I voted straight Republican today. The party that secured the border and lets me live openly beats the one that puts me on a flag then opens the door to cultures that would kill me.
