This summer, we hosted our inaugural Geauga Mechanical Outing, designed to foster team building among our office staff. The event was a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to connect and engage in some enjoyable outdoor golf activities.

Geauga Mechanical installed over 42,000 feet of Wirsbo PEX tubing under the street during its renovation in 2004. Since the street was converted to brick pavers, it would have been difficult to plow. This system keeps the street and surrounding surfaces from being ruined by salt.

Acronyms in the HVAC industry can be confusing! VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow), VRV (Variable Refrigerant Volume), and VRFZ (Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning) are all essentially the same system. The name used is typically dependent on the equipment manufacturer.

The Medley Apartments project is nearing completion! We installed VTACs to heat/cool the apartments in this mixed use building. If you are wondering what HVAC system is the right fit for your building, let us know! We’d be happy to help you determine the right one for you!

Meet Jake! He is celebrating his 3rd anniversary with GMC this month. Jake's most memorable job was when we used one of the biggest cranes that Geauga has dealt with at Nestle! He likes to hang out with friends/family, and enjoys going out to eat or hiking with his girlfriend!

This morning Victaulic stopped by our shop to show us their grooved PVC/CPVC system. Grooving PVC/CPVC is much quicker than the standard glue fittings and is significantly lighter than carbon steel pipe. This allows for a more efficient install in the field and less down time!

It has been 25 years since we moved into our current location! We built our Chardon office in 1999 complete with a hydronic snow melt. We have been installing in-slab hydronic snow melting systems for over 25 years and they come in handy on those cold wintery days!

Check out this month's Properties Magazine featuring Cleveland Foundation's new headquarters! We worked with Panzica Construction to build this new facility with an energy efficient HVAC system that included Variable Refrigerant Volume (VRV) and a Hot Water Heating System.

Another successful rig day! The rig for this Evapco Chiller and Daikin Air Handler took 6 months to plan and wouldn't be successful without the cooperation of all parties! Thank you to everyone on the project team for their hard work!

We had Safety Team Meeting to talk about the importance of fall protection and ways to recognize/celebrate our crews for always keeping safety a focus. Failure to provide fall protection was most common OHSA citation nationally. Remember to always inspect your fall protection!

Thank you @frank_favaro with ServeCentric Coaching for meeting with our team this week! Frank facilitated a workshop about marketing and brand building in the construction industry. We had a great time brainstorming all the ways to continue our growth!
