For anyone wondering why female characters in a shounen tend to lean towards the male gaze as it were then the reason for that is that Shounen is a male targetered genre. The more you know but i know plenty of people (westerners) who apparently havent realized this.

@MonteCristo I think the narrative reason was actually interesting. Like your a guy with an ancestor in the olden days and you take their place kinda. That being said i can see why you want to drop the middleman per say and go straight into the world without being shown or told much else.

@I_Am_CyberSmith @Nerdcognito A game or a hobby is created and developed by its consumers if the people who consume it gatekeep more it creates a barrier and it tends to weed out some bad faith actors. Alot of things wouldnt be as big as they were without the actual passionate people behind it.
