I am not sure I have ever specifically targeted the International Space Station (ISS) for one of my images, but I happened to notice it tracking though my star trail.

This is a composite image. I went out searching for the full moon on Friday evening and there turned out to be some low level haze / clouds that make my initial idea not work. I was in Cow Bay looking toward Lawrencetown beach.

Miner's Marsh in Kentville is a great place to get some fresh air, exercise, and also see some cool birds. The male Northern Cardinal loves to hide in the bushes but I managed to get a clear view of his face.

Bald eagles are amazing birds. We are luckily here in Nova Scotia to be able to see large groups of eagles. This was my first outing with some new equipment and I am very happy with the result.

Taken at Sir Sandford Fleming Park (The Dingle). The park was donated to Halifax in 1908 by Sir Sandford Fleming, creator of Standard Time Zones. The Dingle Tower was dedicated in 1912 to commemorate 150 years of representative government.

It is amazing how fast the moon moves when on the horizon. It is only a matter of 5-10 minutes from the time you see the moon until it is no longer on the horizon.

Full moon rising. This was a special full-moon. Not only was it a blue moon (second full moon in a month) but it was the first time since 1944 that the full moon was visible all over the world on Halloween night! #visitnovascotia

Back to lighthouses :) This time Peggy's Point Lighthouse is off in the distance as the sun is setting. The Polly's cove area is a great place to explore with lots of tracks leading literally all over the coastline. #visitnovascotia

A breakwater and wharf and that I have known for most of my life. Located in Feltzen South along the south shore of our province it close to The Ovens park and Lunenburg. My grandfather used to have a boat and fished from this very wharf. It has changed so much over the years.
