@_delconte You’ve done so much for UT.
If I had two wishes, they would be (1) get federal legislation that saves college sports (what’s proposed is insufficient), and (2) develop a world class golf course at Muni. UT Golf Club is financial malpractice by UT, and it’s a dump.
@wretchardthecat For those who think the election results were manipulated on the back end, you’re likely wrong. The fix was in ab initio—universal mail in ballots, plus antiquated voter rolls, plus harvesting, plus drop boxes. The outcome was always about second place, so not hard to plan.
Modern Progressives are stooges of their modern progressive masters. Wilson was the enemy of individual rights, and that citizens’ rights were derivative of government. Wilson loathed the bill of rights.
He is the worst president, just outdoing Obama.
@pmarca Fly BA from Heathrow to Austin this weekend. Starlink was pretty darn good. Had some periods of streaming stall, but 90percent of the plane was gaming or streaming vids.
Now Im cancelling Spectrum for starlink.
@nypost Their parents are to blame. First for letting them turn into monsters, and second for not stopping them (or trying to stop them).
How about we learn all the details of their families and friends?
It’s a modest request and one worth knowing the answers to.
This is about procedure and not about the merits.
You’d need to understand the jury instructions and evidence to assess the limitations verdict.
It may have been a near clear-cut defense. If so, Musk and his lawyers surely knew that but weighed the odds of recovery against the costs of suit. A near $200 billion recovery against say $50 million investment in lawyer fees and costs, even at low win percentage is a not a crazy wager, especially if the journey (litigation and a public trial) has intrinsic value.
The appeal will take 18 months and will be a cloud over Open AI. This and what the public learned about Altman and the company mgmt and conflict-ridden 3d party deals really hurt the planned IPO. It feels like a bunch of round trip payments.
Air Travel Trauma
Flying biz class to Italy on BA, through Heath Row. 9k per ticket.
Stressed (irrationally?) about how annoying fellow passengers will be. Lots of perfume/cologne, loud talking with others, smelly feet, abusing staff, etc.
