Family legend has it that he explained the point of it all to the Chief of Police. "You get straight back out there" said the PO. "My mother died of that." #gonebutnotforgotten
@drdeanknight Dean could you send me your note on multiparty arrangements? I'm just working out what to put into that section of Laws 213 materials. (And I'd like to read the other one too).
@GraemeEdgeler There's always room to argue about what counts as deprivation. My point is that this bit of freedom of movement is treated a little differently in the international jurisprudence - not just the text - from some others and that's been reflected in NZ Cab decision making.
@jeremy_gans Iccpr. It has a proportionality clause that applies to all other aspects of freedom of movement but not right of return. That's the starting point. I'm not claiming it as an end point. But it explains why the NZ government won't go there.
@drdeanknight and I have been discussing this off line. We've decided there are potential bill of rights problems, te tiriti problems, ICCPR problems, UNDRIP problems but overriding all of them, in our authoritative opinion, daftness problems. So say us.
@GraemeEdgeler If your question is can you tell an author after an article has been accepted that you were the reviewer then yes absolutely. I have had very senior academics from several jurisdictions do this. But I can only speak for law.
@She_Persisted4 Not sure if you can get fisher and paykel over there but their dishdrawers are great for small households because you can justify running it through regularly and also start filling up the second when you haven't yet bothered to empty the first.
