If you really are the CEO (and I doubt it), you would know that people are often unwilling to speak up to the person on top. Ambushing your boss in a staff meeting goes well beyond simple feedback. Multiple sources have said that's exactly what Pelley did. If you choose to allow employees down the chain sabotage your managers in the name of feedback, that says volumes about your laissez-faire leadership style. I'm guessing your employees run you.

Good on Nick Bilton for firing Scott Pelley. He was clearly making himself out as more important than the team or management. Cleaning up toxic work environments is not easy but it has to be done. Good job @bariweiss, @nickbilton and @CBSNews.

I take it you work for yourself and don't actually have a boss. If an employee ever said that to me, they'd be the first one out the door. I've had to clean up a few toxic or dysfunctional workplaces where the employee(s) thought they were bigger than the company.

PS. 60 Minutes has all the creativity of a banana slug. It's a highly formulaic production that has moved away from real investigative reporting to political gotcha moments.
