On the eve of 2 months in post, it’s about time I said I have a job ☺️ I’m now a Lecturer at the Open University @OUBSchool in the Department for People and Organisations.
After a wonderful welcome from colleagues, I’m excited for what is in store 📚 https://t.co/94CHulSO6x
Tomorrow I will be presenting in person to my new colleagues from @NCLBusiness a working paper titled “The symptomatological approach to organisational analysis” (co-authored w/Nick B de Weydenthal, @SocSimon, @Gemma_Lord). Couldn’t be happier but wish co-authors could be here
The (twice postponed) 15th Annual #Ethnography Symposium takes place @UniofSuffolk 24-26 August 2022.
Deadline for abstracts is 11th March (papers accepted for 2021 do not need to be resubmitted).
Hope to see you there! https://t.co/Ihh0uEoV0M
Thanks to all @Gwo2021 an awesome conference 🌎
And thank you to everyone who made our stream ‘Diversity, Difference and Otherness in Entrepreneurship Research & Practice’ such a thought provoking space @huriyeaygoren@MineKOzkan@serayergene @banupan
They mention how a just-in-time approach to care meant that there was no personal protective equipment when we needed it. @SocSimon, @Gemma_Lord and I are studying this in health and social care. See also: https://t.co/EqrwiH574Z [2/4]
Yay it’s payday 🤩 soo excited for the double remuneration! Does anyone know if my Teacher salary comes via school or directly from government? Either way, dam I’ve earned that 🤩
Pub anyone? Oh wait...
@ejgranter @SocSimon @LeoMc76 @mmartinezlucio @livmpa Discussing ideas and celebrating with friends over food and drinks 😭 oh hospitality industry please still be there for us once we re-emerge and can share a table again 🙏
@ejgranter I’m not having much success with the beard as yet. I’ll keep persevering with that. It’s something to focus on whist waiting until we can eat curry together again

If ‘reopening’ of schools was about the continuation of education it wouldn’t be with 4 & 5 year olds unable to socially distance & who’s need for formal education is contentious. It is childcare. More undervaluation of the profession whilst putting staff & their families at risk
@leedsliving@LordWhitney Nothing personal about calling you on your tone (here & in the piece) but good plan... although in hindsight you might have thought through writing that dreadful article. Or posting it on a public platform. Or reposting it here. But sure, leave it there Paul.
@leedsliving@LordWhitney I assume when you write your articles you don’t use a ‘commonly used phrase generator’ & I assume you put more thought into it, no?
People work with people they don’t like all the time...it’s called capitalism. And if you could mansplain a little more in your reply please 🙏
@leedsliving@LordWhitney I can’t decide what’s more perplexing about this - whether it is the attempt to make artists feel shame for requesting payment or whether it is the use of the term beggar as derogatory (in the context of the rest of the piece). Odd is a kind way to say it
