New insight and inspiration this morning after reading Ethnomusicology forums special on Parenting and Music Studies. @LNooshin Brilliant intro! https://t.co/BYyC8V5qkj
@CityUniMusic @laurenredhead@laurenredhead, this looks great- can you pm me? I'm doing similar work as PhD at LCmm (UWL) and I'd love to be in touch. Thanks
Mind opening talk this morning at Choirs For Climate change. @thisisnaala thrills me with the first function of singing- passing messages, communication, then @davecamlin reminds me how choirs are a practical manifestation of a macro local community. Thinking deep thoughts!
@laurareidmusic This has been immense, and emotional to get back into composer land with the immense @laurareidmusic, working with the wonderful @ByJoveTheatre, who are the benchmark for how theatre should be made, and how good it can be
@aksocolofsky Get it printed on a TShirt and own it. One persons 'just a sequence of events' is anothers 'all good pop music, ever'. I once got 'bafflingly slapdash' on a piece of writing, which eventually became a really valuable insight to how I like to work
@aksocolofsky I rarely stop to listen to anything during the working day, but i went straight to your site based on that review. Brilliant publicity in disguise xx FWIW, I liked your tracks.
@holman_fox RN here struggling through the same thing. My PhD is practice based, qualitative and inductive- i'm doing it to look for a theoretical framework, so the whole concept not slotting together for me at all! My sup suggested Actor-network-theory. now even more confused.....
@IKEAUKSupport you sent me the wrong thing. Now I've been on your website for an hour trying to contact someone about it. Could you just send me the right thing please?
@jessicacurry2 you're being dignified and human in your response to this, but i am RAAAging on your behalf. How unthoughtful to not consult, or even drop a quick message to you. I look forward to hearing whatever brilliant thing you make next
@DrPragyaAgarwal the male animals is what make me saddest, because if it's a lizard....wgaf what gender it is? That said, it's my achilles heel, i often find myself automatically male-ing them despite otherwise respectable feminist credentials!
@DrPragyaAgarwal someone once gifted me the line 'I try to only do one piece of pro-bono work a year, so sorry I just finished one for (select charity of your choice) It seems easier, somehow than 'you need to pay'. Also highlights their badness in not offering wage upfrnt
