BREAKING: New car sales! naamsa has reported a 7.5% increase in automotive sales for January 2026 compared to January 2025. Last month the industry sold a total of 50 073 new vehicles, including Passenger Cars, Light Commercial Vehicles and Heavy Commercial Vehicles among others. Used or pre-owned cars are excluded from this list. Of these, 85.4% came from dealership sales, with rental companies taking 10.9%, corporate fleets 2.1% and government with 1.6%.
