Arsenal are winning the league — no excuses, no explanations. They have everything it takes to do it.

And if they win it, it will not be because their opponents were weak. In fact, this has been one of the greatest Premier League seasons of the century. A season where almost every team has had its moment at the top.

There were periods where Bournemouth looked unstoppable, then Sunderland took control, Chelsea dominated, Liverpool surged, Aston Villa looked like contenders, and now Manchester City are having their run. At different moments, every one of these teams made people believe they could win the league.

But through all of that chaos, there has been one team that kept standing — Arsenal.

Constant. Consistent. Resilient.

Even when setbacks came, Arsenal remained there. Their quality, mentality, experience, and belief have taken them further than many expected.

And believe me, when Arsenal win this league, it will not just be a title. It could be the beginning of a long and dominant era.

That is the real warning to the rest of the league. 🔴⚪️

He was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was mighty in words and in deeds. Yes, he attended the Harvard, Oxford and Cambridge of the era as Pharoah’s house had the best thinkers, astrologers and educators. He learned administration, governance, communication, strategy, and the mechanics of empire. Moses is a case study of consequential leadership.

Providence placed him inside the very system he would later confront, not to assimilate him, but to equip him. Leadership, it turns out, is often prepared in places that look contradictory to destiny.

Simply, Moses’ origin story itself is layered with irony and intent. Pharaoh’s daughter found him as a baby, hidden in a basket among the reeds of the Nile, moved by compassion, she drew him from the water and named him Moses. What looked like abandonment became adoption; what appeared like displacement became positioning. In modern terms, Moses was sent to a “faraway branch” of a bank where many might have expected him to fade quietly.

Instead, that distance became an accelerator. He learned how power works, how institutions think, and how complex systems are governed. When the moment came to lead, Moses did not confront Pharaoh as a novice; he spoke the language of the palace because he had been trained there.

Yet all he learned in Pharaoh’s house was not enough. Another layer was added as Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness, a period of preparation, humility, and transformation before leading the Israelites. It was there that he was called at the burning bush to deliver his people.

This pattern repeats itself beyond scripture. I saw this firsthand during my NYSC year, when I was posted to Northern Nigeria. At the time, I did not want to go. I saw no opportunity in it. Yet that year fundamentally reshaped how I understand Nigeria, its people, its diversity, its tensions, and its possibilities. The perspective gained from that “faraway posting” continues to compound. Like Moses in Pharaoh’s house, what felt like being sent away became exposure to knowledge and context that no classroom could have provided. Moses needed Egypt to lead Israel. I needed NYSC in Northern Nigeria to better understand Nigeria.

In today’s context, the preparation of Moses might look like sending you to Harvard for an MBA, only for you to return to Nigeria and be assigned to run a small bank in my Ovim village rather than in Abuja or Lagos. It may feel misplaced, even unfair. Yet it is often in that quiet, overlooked setting, far from the spotlight, that you truly learn the business. And then, one day, the call comes from Lagos, not because you waited at the center, but because you mastered leadership at the margins.

What Committees Look For in the First Paragraph of Your SOP

The first paragraph of your Statement of Purpose is not meant to impress. It is meant to orient the reader.

Committees use it to quickly understand your academic direction and decide whether the rest of your application is worth close attention.

What to do
State your academic or research interest clearly. Let the reader know what area you want to work in and at what level. Briefly indicate how you arrived at this interest, focusing on one or two experiences that shaped your thinking.

How to do it
Connect your background to your interest logically. Show progression, not a life story. Your opening paragraph should answer one simple question: why this field, and why now.

What to avoid
Do not start with childhood stories, inspirational quotes, or vague passion statements. Avoid listing achievements without context. Do not keep the reader guessing about what you want to study.

A strong first paragraph gives direction, context, and intent. Once that is clear, the rest of your SOP has a solid foundation to build on.

I'm 31 years old, I've seen Arsenal play some of the best football in Europe. Wengerball was a beautiful sight, it was fluid, quick, attractive football and beautiful on the eyes. Yet, it was married to finishing 4th, with the odd 2nd or 3rd thrown in for a bit of flair. Big games over and over, being beaten by our rivals time after time. 5-1 at Anfield, 6-0 at Stamford Bridge, 8-2 at Old Trafford, home and away being thrashed by Man City. 

So tell me why I've now got every media outlet & jounralist looking for a clicks telling me I shouldn't be happy with what I'm seeing? 

"1-0 to The Arsenal" or "Boring boring Arsenal", this isn't a new part of the game, this is Arsenal's history. 

Social media are more than happy to talk about some of the best defences in the Premier League. Ferdinand/Vidic, Terry/Carvalho, Adams/Keown, Campbell, Van Dijk, Kompany. Or Chelsea only conceding 15 in a season, a remarkable feat. 

Liverpool being crown "set piece kings" a few years ago during the title run, Chelsea having a piece done by Jamie Carragher about how Champions use set pieces during a title run - By now it's an issue? An issue much less brought up Jamie Carragher himself. 

For years Arsenal were beaten by physical teams, lesser teams would play Arsenal with the pure intention of kicking us off the park. But now, we're too physical?

Arsenal go play defensive away to big teams, get accused of not going for a win or being "scared" - Yet no one talks about Haaland playing CB during Man City's trip to Arsenal this season?

Arsenal go all out attack and try to go toe to toe with teams we weren't simply as good as a few years ago & get beaten. Arteta is "out his depth" or Arsenal aren't good enough - Yet, when do you ever see a team go to Arsenal and attack us for a game? Man City tried and lost 5-1. PSG had Donarumma to thank for not leaving the 1st leg with a defeat. 

When it's Arsenal who are the ones being beat or being treated like the little boys of the league, the media are quick to paint Arteta as the bad guy or find a fake story about a possible squad fall out. But when it's Arsenal being the bullies, dominating the game and acting like a big club should, suddenly it's an issue? 

You can keep your days of beautiful football with Fabregas, Hleb, Nasri, Rosicky, Wilshere, Arshavin, Diaby etc. 
You can keep your horrid defence of Sokratis, Luiz, Chambers, Cedric, Lichtsteiner, Mustafi.

The squad as a whole right now is one of the best squads Arsenal Football Club have ever had. It is completely unfathomable to me that this squad do not win silverware - And when we do, I cannot wait for every single media outlet to have to post their graphics that 70% of our goals were set plays. I can't wait for them to have to make graphics of Mikel Arteta lifting the Premier League trophy.

Someone asked, "When you say pray until it is done, do we keep praying until we get the manifestation? He said in God's timing it may be years before the thing manifests according to his program, so do we keep praying all those years.?

I answered him this way

"Praying till a thing happens is not praying till you get a physical manifestation but praying till you get an assurance in your heart that it is done. Staying there until you hear from heaven and God answers you with a revelation of his plan."

This doesn't mean the situation has changed, but you have changed by reason of what the Spirit has revealed.
