Today outside the Armenian Catholic Church in Jerusalem:
"Tell me, why spit? Why did you spit on them? Why? Can you explain it to me?"
"The Christians need to be thrown out of here."
Massie: You can tell that I'm ahead in the polls and they're desperate. That's why they're sending the Secretary of War to my district tomorrow. That's why the president's losing sleep and tweeting about this. That's why AIPAC has dumped another $3 million into my race this weekend…
Big changes are coming to East Potomac Golf Links, a Washington, D.C., muni that is more than 100 years old.
On Friday, the Trump administration announced it will move forward with plans to convert the beloved property — which houses 36 holes — into a championship-style, 18-hole facility capable of hosting majors and the Ryder Cup. Some locals and preservationists, though, worry that the administration’s vision will rob the property of its populist appeal, along with other activities it offers such as walking trails, picnicking and fishing.
Lorenza “Country” Robinson has been working at East Potomac for 16 years. When he started there, he cleaned carts and took out the trash; now he’s the operations manager.
“You might have nothing in your pocket — that don’t matter here,” Country says. “It’s all about enjoying your experience, and we’re going to make sure you enjoy your experience.”
This isn’t a rancher. This isn’t a cowboy.
This is a profiteering hedge fund manager who trades cattle instead of stocks.
This is Big Ag at its worst, pretending to be “rural.”
He proudly dons a cowboy hat as though he gives a damn about any of the millions of cattle he puts through his crammed, manure filled feedlots where none touch grass and they live their lives miserably shoulder to shoulder on concrete.
The circle of life is a profit source, not a thing of beauty to be respected and cared for.
And the little podcaster nods and claps. Sickening.
