The Roger Clap Staff spent three days learning together. We used five discourse strategies, read six readings, planned two units, and experienced countless moments of joy.
Thank you @SuptMarySkipper for your impactful visit!
On Monday, we visited Roger Clap Elementary School to see Mrs. Lezama's 3rd Graders learn about the difference between justice and injustice. We are so excited to see classrooms incorporating Children Discovering Justice lessons into their school day! #education#cdj#justice
Happy 100th Day of School! Older students cheered younger student as they participated in the 100 Day Celebration Parade! Students reflected on their learning so far & goals for the rest of the year. We all reflected on what our older wiser 100 year old selves will have learned!
What a great day exploring the exhibits in our school museum! Students participated in a whole school read of Milo’s Museum and created exhibits for schoolmates and families to enjoy! @zettaelliott @BPSEarlyLearn@BostonSchools
Grateful to be one of a handful of BPS schools to get funding for a library. Our students are thrilled to have a space with new, fun and educational picks! 📚@BostonSchools@JeriRob49
Another wonderful week at the Roger Clap. Our K2 students are wrapping up their reports on frogs, K1 students are practicing writing invitations and 3rd grade is practicing their close reading techniques! @BPSEarlyLearn#bpsjoy
What’s brining me joy this morning. Pictures from our Back to School night. Family members writing their middle schoolers a note relating to their hopes and dreams for them. ❤️. @Frederick_Pilot#backtoschool#hopesanddreams
Rethinking my to do list. “Every single time you write down a task for yourself, you are deciding how to spend a few crucial moments of the most nonrenewable resource you possess: your life.”

First day as an Assistant Principal at @TeamTimilty ! Thankful for the warm welcomes and productive work sessions. Also grateful to my @BTRUpdates family for the flowers and my @curleyk8 family for the shoutouts, emails and texts. Feeling lots of @bostonschooIs pride today.
If you’re organizing a virtual event, plan to include captioning. #Deaf people deserve access, too. If you invite two #accessibility lawyers to speak and still don’t provide captioning… Annapolis, we have a problem. https://t.co/xYvy1YuDif via @YouTube
I can’t wait to hear this presenter again (5/3 @ 4PM EDT). Highly recommended. See message from Dr. Kim below:
Not too many events are open to the public, but this one is. It's an opportunity to learn what was erased from K-16 history books:
