Your next website visitor might be an AI assistant shortlisting suppliers for someone.
It skips your hero animation. It reads your words.
Can it find:
→ a starting price
→ one page per service
→ who it's for and how long it takes
Clarity is the new SEO.
"Are you tired too in this AI era?" is trending on Hacker News.
Honestly? Yes.
So I stopped scrolling for AI news and built a small n8n workflow that pulls the top 10 AI stories for me. Tested this week: one run, 10 stories, no API key.
How do you keep up without burning out?
1/ I'm automating my own import business, Genius Impex. Not a demo. Proforma invoices, bank drafts, insurance, shipping docs, port clearance. All of it lives in email. Here's what we mapped before writing code 🧵
Brief: redesign + WooCommerce store + live USPS/UPS rates + full product migration. Planned: 10 days.
Shipped in 8.
Not by rushing. By sequencing: design first, store on top, carrier integrations last.
Speed comes from order, not overtime.

15 years of client work taught me one rule:
Busy isn't shipped.
AI agents make it easy to feel productive and finish nothing.
My end-of-day test:
1. Can a client use it?
2. Is it live, or still "almost"?
3. Would I put my name on it?
What did you actually ship this week?
Running AI agents all day feels productive.
But busy isn't shipped.
A simple end-of-day check: what can a real user do today that they couldn't do yesterday?
If the answer is nothing, the agents were just busy.
Fewer agents. One finished thing.
Every automation guide ended with 'paste your API key here'. So I put n8n, Ollama, Postgres, Redis and Caddy in one docker-compose file. One command. #selfhosted
@Kedeodev It feels harder because building gives instant feedback and marketing gives delayed, noisy feedback. Picking one channel and giving it 30 days makes it measurable. Which channel has worked best for you so far?
@rcmisk v2 feels safer because you're polishing for your own critic instead of a customer's. A rule that helped me: if nobody outside has seen it by day 7, ship it as it is. What's your cutoff for showing something rough?
@arvidkahl Manual edits carry hidden coupling, and nothing flags it until a layout breaks somewhere else. Do you catch those with visual regression checks, or does delegating mean rethinking the structure?
@Kedeodev Retention, because 30-day survivors tell you the product actually works. The first 10 can come from effort and goodwill. Do you track which action in week one predicts who stays?
@rcmisk Good habit. I'd add one more check: does their question refer to something specific about your product, or could it be pasted to anyone? Specific ones are usually the real leads. What's the best signal you've found?
@rcmisk Right, code was never the bottleneck. The scarce part now is deciding what's worth building and checking it solves a real problem. How do you validate an idea before an agent writes the first line?
@Kedeodev The first sale, by a mile. The MVP is a known problem you can schedule, but a stranger paying is the part you can't plan. Did yours come from a conversation or from a launch?
Can't keep up with AI news? Same.
So I built a small n8n workflow: it pulls the top 10 AI and automation stories from the last 24 hours on Hacker News. No API key.
Tested on n8n 2.45.7: one manual run, 10 stories back.
Comment DIGEST and I'll send it.
