A major milestone in our v2.0 upgrade series, bringing enhanced performance, protocol compatibility, and UX innovations.

Here’s what it unlocks 👇🧵

v2.0.3 is part of the broader Kaia v2.0 mainnet rollout, spanning versions 2.0.0 to 2.0.3 and introduces:

• Consensus Liquidity (CL) infra

• Gas Abstraction (GA) support

• Ethereum Prague hardfork compatibility

• Major stability & API improvements

All mainnet nodes are recommended to upgrade.

Consensus Liquidity (CL): Staking + Liquidity, Combined 🧪

Kaia v2.0 introduces a novel mechanism where users can stake to validators and provide DEX liquidity at the same time, with just one deposit.

Key effects:

• Dual rewards: staking + LP

• Higher chain TVL

• Fee burn or reinjection into LPs

• Ecosystem synergy with partner tokens (starts with BORA)

Gas Abstraction: Pay Gas in USDT or BORA 💸

Users no longer need KAIA to cover gas fees.

With GA:

• Fees can be paid directly in stablecoins

• Token swaps + execution are bundled trustlessly

• Zero relayers or centralized paymasters

• Better UX for dApps and wallets

Live on Kairos testnet. Full rollout by the end of July.

v2.0.3 Patch Details ⚙️

This version improves node-level performance and observability.

• GA metrics tracking (#443)

• Txpool throttling (#451)

• Swap eligibility checks (#450)

🛠 Fixes:

• API updates for EIP-7623 gas estimates (#436)

All maintain full EVM and Prague hardfork support.

Kaia v2.0 ensures seamless support for the latest Ethereum EIPs, including:

• EIP-7702: Account Abstraction

→ Smart contracts as wallets, customizable UX

• EIP-2537: BLS12-381 precompile

→ Cheaper/faster ZK ops + privacy infra

Kaia remains fully aligned with Ethereum dev tooling.
