@readmynovels Absolutely. Comps are not always required. Some agents are very specific about having comps in the query. If so, just leave those agents off your submission list and focus on having an engaging query and submit to the agents seeking your specific story genre.
@readmynovels If after your query they request a full manuscript and choose to rep it, they will likely have their own comps when submitting to a publisher. But the query letter comps are where you need to show your savvy to the agent and get them interested enough to read the full manuscript.

@rshifman Yes. The Amazon account you wish to write the review from must have at least 50.00 in purchases. The underlying reason is that Amazon was struggling with mass numbers of fake reviews from sock-puppet accounts for products on the site ( books included ). Makes sense in context.
