Mothman, without hesitation, held the hunter's hand and pulled him to follow him immediately. Probably since he wants to get out of here too.
Hopefully they won't mind it.
His masked face directed itself towards the Mothman again, curious about his insistence.
"Shelter? Where?" He shook off again, his dreadlock hairs whipping more water around and off. He couldn't really complain at this point. Any excuse to get out of this cold weather was good.
"Muh."
Getting out of the small area and walking towards Wolf, all while his expression was that of cringe. He really didn't like his feet in the mud-
"...No leave. Mothman give you shelter."
He let out an intrigued guttural hum.
"Self defense. Maybe one day I will get to see how you fight, if someone threatens you. Until then, I can only wonder what you're like."
Wolf then shakes off some of the rain. "There's no reason to keep getting wet. I'll go now."
Twitching his antennae as he glanced at the hunter's body and weapons that were on him.
"Mhm...Mothman only attacks if he gets attacked. Told it's self defense."
Softly whines as he then stretches those limbs of his, the sounds of bones cracking can be heard...
"Not attacking is all it takes to be nice?" He doubted it, but then again, being nice wasn't a familiar or encouraged behavior where he came from.
"Had you been a dangerous creature, you would not believe that of me."
Wolf made low growl at the thought of that ever happening to himself.
"You really are not a threat. At least you have found your place... among them. It's something I can never do."
The hunter huffed. He wasn't the kind to care about those sorts of things and it surprised him that such a menacing looking creature would be this docile.
"{Don't know about any of that. Those are... human things. Will they even accept you?}"
"Be seen as good...Have lots of friends...Live with everyone...Not alone."
Mothman looked like a freaking beast. The guy looked like he could be someone silent and deadly, but he sounded so nice...
"{Hunter... is strongest. Hunter... demands more respect.}" He raised his fist, affirming his belief in this. It was all he seemed to live for.
"{What is better than that? What else could you want?}"
"Mothman don't want to be prey. Or don't want to eat prey too."
To be fair, he's the predator to a lot of people. He just doesn't know that. Or shown it much-
"{You... could have been... prey... too bad.}" He spoke in short phrases, words he'd heard spoken by humans, which he then stitched together to form his response.
Clearly, kind pleasantries weren't his strong suit.
He could understand it. He can hear plenty with those antennae.
They twitch in reaction to the question as his eyes stared at the hunter.
"Me Mothman...Nice to meet you, Wolf..."
"{"Who... are... you...}"
The hunter responded, not with his own voice, but with the distorted mimicry of the Mothman. Could he even understand the question?
"{Wolf.}" He then stated his answer in a gutteral, croaking voice.
Staring at the ground as the dirt was mud, pushing his feet into it which made him uncomfortable.
"Mmth..."
Staring back up at the creature who was standing in front of him.
"Who you...?"
Wolf takes a moment to observe this strange creature before him.
It didn't seem hostile or threatening. In his culture, it is dishonorable to fight something that isn't a dangerous threat.
He looks up at the pouring rain. It's cold and cold is something he dislikes.
