@ksquire @Gaohmee Indeed, and they need to face dire consequences. The worst part is that they didn't really have to frame Acosta in order to port him.

However the most disturbing part, would be the actual reasons people cause an outrage over the actual event (before Acosta was ported).

Should have realized that he didn't really have any points to argue with, and give away the mic

@welshtroll @DanRyyu I think it's related to youtubers, twitchers & the press wanting more clicks etc. So they reduce themselves to clickbait and overexaggerated negativity to earn attention and to show an exaggerated version of their opinion. This allows gamers to join in and sing songs together 2/2

@welshtroll @DanRyyu Most likely it's the same hate wave of people jumping from hype train to hype train, telling how much something sucks. When they jump to a different game, all of the more positive voices gets space, and people start to wonder why people even hated on the product. ^^ 1/2

@Gaohmee What I can see today, game journalism has taken the same route in most regards, there's absolutely no point to consume that kind of media. Sadly many do. One of the ways to change this direction would be to teach consumers early on that this media is mostly fake & destructive 2/3

@Gaohmee Indeed. The patterns you mention is highly used in all media, and is the main nutrition of gossip magazines. This sort of media is very happy to create images of companies and celebs and then later "destroy" them, because it sells. 1/2

I wouldn't peer into the dark side of the Internet and media, fueling on the negative side. Fake news, no constructive criticism, souldraining attitude and perspective on life. No good comes out of there. 2/2

@Pawel95PL @JesseCox The gamers at Blizzcon seemed pretty respectful, they could have boo'ed during the first mention of it at the presentation, but they seemed to wait until it came up in the QA, then showed their disagreement with a short mild boo. Good feedback. They woo'ed a lot as well 1/2

@RaiderRich2001 @Gaohmee @IGDA_WIGSIG "people who cant afford spending much money", would be, children, teenagers, students, people who have a country which makes it insanely expensive to acquire a game. This isn't a "racial dog whistle", no matter how you look at it. I'd advise wisdom and good judgement.

@rakivo Definitely. Marketing is only the theme. You can apply fitting gameplay mechanics to make it an enjoyable Tycoon game. You should make a prototype :)

No stream tonight, quite exhausted after yesterday's sunburn. Got a fever and didn't end up sleeping too much because of it. xD However! Our Ability structure in Godot is pretty much done. Now we just gotta pump in tons of cool abilities.
