Being the "prim and proper" type my whole life, I didn't do a lot music or nightclubs...actually, none, other than the occasional Christian concert.

Now curious as I emerge from my sheltered maternal lifestyle, I'm headed to a classic rock concert this weekend in Jacksonville.

What should I wear?

Little black dress, plunge neckline colored wrap mini-dress, black jumpsuit, or sequin mini-skirt with a sheet top (and a bra, at least until that inhibition diminishes!)?

Despite my teen years in the '70's and coming of age in the '80's, I was raised in a "box." Always the dutiful daughter, mom, wife and now grandmother, I never took a walk on the wild side.

For instance, I never skinny-dipped. Not in private nor much less in public. Never.

As I now emerge from my shell, I came one step closer around midnight at the hotel. After a great dinner and a few drinks, dressed in heels and a cute white cocktail dress, I thought it might be sexy and provocative to get into the pool, dress and all!

Maybe one day soon I'll muster enough confidence to lose the dress and check the skinny-dipping off that bucket list.

They say every woman needs a "little black dress." I never had one, especially like this one. If less is more, I am making progress in my evolution -- the little black dress is pretty little.
