I know everyone is anticipating August 1, 2026 for the implementation of SB25-003, however that isn’t the only gun control bill that goes into effect this August.

HB26-1126: This bill is effectively focused on destroying gun dealers in Colorado. Currently my partner organization CFFLA is suing against this with Salida Gun Shop, Colorado State Shooting Association and others.

HB26-1265: forces all law‑enforcement agencies to register with and use ATF’s eTrace system and to share trace data on recovered firearms, pushing 4th, 10th and 14th amendment violations in addition to the 2A.

HB26-1302: this bill changes access to the colorado bureau of investigations - The act allows the bureau to determine its own hours of operation for gun purchases - originally sponsored by a republican rep Anthony Hartsook.

HB26-1144: The act prohibits knowingly manufacturing or producing a potentially functioning firearm, unfinished frame or receiver, large-capacity magazine, or rapid-fire device (firearm or firearm component).

SB26-004: this is a red flag aka ERPO expansion, giving immunity to those who would red flag you as well as expanding the list of those who can petition a red flag confiscation against you to institutions.
