The Day Job is calling, I’ll be reporting on any selections made today in a wrap around post all at once later in the day (evening? 😁)…

My hopes after trading to the 1.10/2.01 turn is to grab a top QB & the best RB/WR available.
Employing the ‘Balances Start’ strategy because anyone who knows me knows I’ll start looking YOUNG as soon as I can justify it to myself… which is far earlier than most would 🔥

Start-up draft UPDATE! ⚡️

I thought the 11pm EDT pause would catch us, but @Robert_paine ‘s F-4 Phantom’s jump in at 10:56 grabbing Jahmyr Gibbs at 1.03! If one is going all in at RB1, Bijan is the only one who might be a better dynasty back. Might be.

Then the Green Bay Peggers (kids 😁) grabbed everyone’s darling Drake ‘Drakemaye’ Maye at 1.04 🎉
This kid might be the heir apparent to Allen 🤔

@StartSitEmFF is certainly in REM sleep right now dreaming of the content he’ll create tomorrow 🫵🏼, but he can select with the clock paused, so we’ll see if I have an update when I wake up 🥱

Browns Win wasted no time once the clock rolled, but a preface ~ I drew the 1.02 & made a trade that I hope will be mutually beneficial for both @minadolsky & myself 🎻🥀😎

As reported Browns Win smashed DRAFT next to Josh Allen’s name as soon as saw the notification 💥
A great 1.01 in SF, no debate.
QBs last longer than other positions & Allen is one of the best Fantasy QBs of all time

Mike’s Yinzer Nation didn’t burn the clock either going with the Bijan Impact Method, a bold move considering our trade 🫵🏼

I made the deal for two reasons. I’d like to have a balanced start, & it’s interesting to sit back the entire first round to see the different strategies show themselves right from the beginning 🤓

We’re probably pausing if we get to 1.05 as it’s 3:30am in London & my Brother @StartSitEmFF is fast asleep 😴

As preposterous as this is…
$10 to win a MILLION?

I spend a minimum of $10/wk on Powerball 😃
Either way it’s money tossed in the trash.

My take?
I think, if healthy throughout the season, Luther improves on his numbers from ‘25. DJ Moore is no longer taking targets & I believe Odunze & Loveland split about 58% of those 65 touches, & Luther gets about 40% giving him, based on last year’s numbers, approximately 79 touches.

That’s what analytics tells you. Yes, that’s very basic analytics but that’s how it all started, & though I’ll admit it has advanced, doesn’t part of it still come down to gut feeling?
I hope for your sake it does 🤠

Here’s what my gut is telling me…
I think Caleb throws the ball more this year. I think he runs less & throws more. So while I like where that basic analytic formula tells us, I think Luther touches are somewhere in the 90s.
Rome missed some time so we really have no formula to go off of based on 12 games in Ben Johnson’s offense. That’s a lot of development time in 5 games. I think he has about 70 touches, but more yards & TDs.
Loveland will do just fine with some more targets with the Moore leftovers plus fewer for Kmet.
I’m in on all of them on Fantasy, Caleb included.
I actually think they might slip a spot in the standings, just a feeling, but in the Fantasy World call me ‘Team Ben!’

But Luther for OPOTY?

But there’s been a lot of work going on behind the scenes 🔥

As we’ve received news that our website should be going live this Sunday, coinciding with our scheduled YouTube interview with @theffexpo , while still putting in long hours on the car lot…
We’ve been working hard to have great material available for our first site visitors to enjoy!
And that’s what it’s all about - sports entertainment value combined with our mission to spread the love for Dynasty Fantasy Football through our #BringingDynasty2TheMasses Project!
The journey has been a roller coaster & we are very much looking forward to expanding our reach & bring joy to all who come along for the ride!

Up until now, every Dynasty start-up that I’ve ever attempted has been MOSTLY local folks… people whom I know personally or were recommended by people I know 👀
In starting #TheVarsity (WE NEED YOU! 🫵🏼), this will be my first start-up draft featuring NAME Xers, including international (🔥@StartSitEmFF ) FFBallers.

I learned a lesson a long time ago & was recently reminded by The Coach, @ClintHurdle13 , to walk into every room as if you have something to learn, no matter how much you think you know already…

I have the start-up draft currently set w an 8hr clock ⏰ w an overnight pause set on EST.
Of course we want to encourage activity DURING the draft, but is 8hrs too much?

I have come to the conclusion that the FFBallers I’m hoping to attract (competitive established managers) don’t need an elaborate pitch in this post, please check the images for roster form, & draft… because y’all know what you’re looking at 👀
Scoring is pretty much standard PPR, images in first comment 👇🏼

We want prizes, but keeping it inexpensive, so $25/yr, three year buy in on LeagueSafe ($75), re-up every two seasons.
(Payouts: $100-1st, $50-2nd, $30-3rd, $20-4th… just to keep it interesting)
