Here’s what we’ve accomplished for our ferry system in 6 months:

✅ We’re returning to full, domestic service 3 years ahead of schedule.
✅ We accepted a bid to build 3 new hybrid-electric vessels.
✅ We secured $39 million in a tough budget year for crew hiring, retention, and training, and $1.3 billion for building new vessels.
✅ New legislation will help WSF compete for skilled workers.
✅ The Wenatchee, the biggest hybrid-electric ferry in the country, and the first to be converted to hybrid-electric power, started serving Washingtonians this week.
✅ WSF is evaluating more options to get boats in the water as quickly as possible, including lease-to-own.

@GovBobFerguson @wsferries We tried that in Alaska, building locally. We got a couple of boats that don't work very well & the ruin of another while drydocked. We could have had a whole new fleet for the same price built by very experienced shipwrights.
