Marginal & non-arable land is a resource ruminants are uniquely adapted to utilise and uocycle to high quality, nutritious protein. This land is part of our broader resource pool for global food security and ruminants are a part of the solution that improves resource efficiency.

This graph is a reminder, just how important ruminant livestock is for a country like Australia. Over 50% is marginal land, used for grazing and 4% for crop production. (Note, most of the marginal land can not be used for arable crop production due to poor soil & lack of water.)
