#Canmore is home to a beautiful stretch of the @TCTrail. 🇨🇦 Mountain peaks, the Bow River, a turquoise pond, rainbow clouds, a winter-hardy butterfly, plus the Engine Bridge that was transformed for #TheLastOfUs. #Blahs2Ahhs #OptOutside

@FisherSpeaks Unclear yet how many will overwinter, but yesterday along the Bow River at Bow Valley Campground (closed for the season), we saw >100 trumpeter swans, and at least as many American wigeons, mallards and Canada geese. Some swans overwintered here last year. It's always windy!

Thanks @BanffNP, for the vehicle-free cycling opportunity along the Bow Valley Parkway. We celebrated the #FirstDayofFall with a ride from Fenlands Rec Centre to Johnston Canyon and back. Looking forward to 2 more years of this pilot project (before it becomes permanent)! #LiveND

Kayaking Vermilion Lake #3 this morning, spotted two common loons: a juvenile & a parent. Juvenile kept begging for food, parent kept obliging. After lots of little fish, parent loon nabbed a big one. Fascinating to observe via telephoto lens. #birdwatching

Lowering the water level in Glenmore Reservoir in anticipation of the snow melt in the Canadian Rockies creates a vast, temporary wetland that's attracting all kinds of water birds (and bird watchers). 🙂🦅🦆🦢📷
